I used the pencil trick on an old Shapleigh single blade knife. It was my Grandpa EDC wood scales, with steel liners and pins. That worked great, thank you so much, it was fast and easy!

My dad gave me his Klein electricians TL-29 knife that he carried for years. He told me he was filling an order for his job at an electric supply co in Philadelphia in the early 80’s and he told them to throw in one of the knives for himself lol. The main blade is thin from sharpening but I’d like to try and get a good edge on it again. No cracks in the scales and the blades have a nice natural patina.

George what if you had a much larger HB pencil lead to go over knives like the carpenter's kind? George, I think the long sheepsfoot Camillus with the 4-line tang stamp is a WW2 military knife because Knife Doc has a military knife book that shows it in there!

I bought a boker electrician knife last weekend for 25$ it still had the boker stamp on the main blade and the screwdriver blade

To tighten up the blades I wonder if it would work better to use a punch to strike with the hammer so the force goes more directly into the pin where the hammer also strikes more of the bolster

George, have you taken one of your electrician knives apart, restored and put back together as a single bladed slip joint; removing the screwdriver blade; It will surprise you how this is turned into a great slip joint.

They cleaned up really nice. What kind of rust remover do u use? Love that big sheep's foot

Lol.. I normally use Evapo Rust. Get it from harbor freight. It works well and is all natural. Plus you can reuse it. The one I used here was from rustolium. Don't particularly like it. A lot of heavy chemicals and you have to watch it like a hawk. Thanks for watching always appreciated

Hey George, i enjoy your videos and i'm a subscriber. I started dabbling in knife collecting all because i saw a Knife Doctor video and that led me to you. I'm absolutely an amateur although i've always liked them but never seriously collected them. Anyway, and i hate to mention this, but i think you are pronouncing Camillus wrong. It's a definite 3 syllable word and it's pronounced ca mill us. Please don't think i'm a smart ass/know it all.Keep up the great videos !
