I find this lighting to be much easier to watch, plus it makes you the star of the show and gives your face all the attention... much better in my opinion :) I love the foundation on you too... very pretty and natural...doesn't look like makeup at all :) I've been using the Candid concealer under my eyes lately for the same reason... it doesn't look like makeup!

I really like this foundation. My skin is very good so I don't need much coverage anyway; I just need to even out coloring a bit. For me, this Revlon foundation is very much like Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, but without the hefty price tag.
I've also been using this foundation for about 3 weeks. My experience has been great. Aside from the shade. They simply did not have my shade in a more neutral tone. So I had to go slightly lighter to get that neutral tone. But after a bronzer, it's fine. I've enjoyed it a lot. Great coverage and not sticky even without setting powder
I said great coverage. But I should add that I don't need a lot. I'm fairly blessed regarding pigmentation. I just want to even out my tone. And this definatly fits the bill
I like the room lighting. It’s very flattering. The color of this makeup was a perfect match to your skin. I think you skipped your chin when applying with the brush & barely tapped with the sponge. So I don’t think it actually wore off. If you follow ShelbeyWilson, who is a MUA, not skin expert like you, she wears sheer base then adds coverage only where needed with concealer.
Everyone I talk to in the UK at the moment is having fish n chips for their dinner and I sooooo want them! Hope they were nice! No Candid Glow in Thailand, however, even if it was on sale here I wouldn’t be rushing to replace my Mac Face and Body which gives a sheer no makeup makeup look. That said looks gorgeous on you (as every foundation does!). Lighting is fine, very natural.
Love the lighting in this video. Much more natural and as others have said easier on the eyes. The foundation is fabulous - much more skin like - you’ve got great skin and it really blends with your skin and makes it flawless - I love the no foundation look. Much more flattering than seeing someone and noticing immediately they have loads of makeup on, but with just enough coverage to even the skin, so our inner confidence can shine through. I like the Candid Glow. It’s a nice foundation for a natural look, rather than made up. I didn’t like the original Candid either, but I like the concealer. With having to wear a mask everywhere and it being summer in Chicago, although foundation is my favorite make up product and I have several (many), I usually wear my SPF, put on some eyebrow gel and that’s it. I am working from home and if I have a video call then I enjoy putting on some make up.
What a perfect shade match to your skin tone! It looked like it gave you a natural finish without looking cakey or heavy. Perfect for summer in my book. :-)
Your face looked really well-lit, so maybe the darker background helps? But I do like the cheery lit space as well, so I'm no help! Also I thought that first comparison of one cheek with brush application and nothing on the other was a beautiful evening out- looked so pretty. And again, your close-ups are king (or queen)!xx
Your face is much more prominent in this video and there is no glare. For me it's just right 👍 Even if a nice background is important, we are eager to see your lovely face 😉
How strange, I bought the original candid foundation today and then the glow one comes up tonight! I'm a bit late to the game trying the original candid, always been on my radar but others always grabbed my attention more. I have really dry skin, used a rich moisturiser and the candid one looked absolutely flawless, even in this heat we've had today. Not many foundations can look great on top of heavy duty moisturisers but I think I've found my favourite everyday one with this. It is a shame the tubes are so much smaller than the standard amount but I do like it so will buy again. Being so pleased with the original I don't know if I'll get the glow one. I can't wear lightweight skincare. If you do ever try this out with a richer moisturiser would you be able to let me know how this sits over it. Thank you. Good lighting, you are clear like you say and the background is darker so you stand out really well...I have to try that foundation, looks lovely, thanks for another great video and also for letting me know that acetone ruins our nails, ( duh, just me to think otherwise ) now they are a lot better....thanks.
I bought this foundation this week and had the same experience 😊. I looked like I had no foundation on my skin yet it looked really nice. I agree you can’t get it to medium coverage, for an everyday tint to make your skin look better it’s lovely.
This foundation looks lovely on you. I prefer a full coverage foundation so I don't think I'll be trying this one. Thank you Gemma for your thorough reviews.

The lighting is really nice, Gemma. I do want to thank you for the skincare information you have shared in your videos, I love the way my skin looks and I owe it all to YOU! So, if I just want a bit of coverage I will jut use some concealer, or mix my foundation with a light moisturizer. The question is..... is it worth it to buy this kind of product with such light coverage? Your skin did look so lovely with this foundation!❤

I think the lighting looks very good, maybe better than before . I have been using Sarah Chapman products for about three years now and really like them but am wondering what your thoughts are, is that something you can address?
For me the lighting is ok, Gemma. I prefer this against bright lights. Your background is not so important for me. I can imagine that it's very tricky to find the right headlights, but I really would like to see the true colours of foundation/eyeshadow/lipstick... This seems to be difficult and a problem without natural light. But I don't complain!!! Just my thoughts. The foundation looks very nice on you (but you always look pretty, even with no makeup at all!). Curious to hear your thoughts after wearing this several times. I need just a tad more coverage in certain areas even after concealer on those spots. But I always apply the coverage with a lighter touch using like one pump. I use the Candid in the normal texture. Not dewy texture. & it works pretty good for what I need in my summer color..... I’m out in the heat a lot & it stays pretty good. At the end of my day, I don’t care!! Lolol
Hi Gemma just a heads up to say that the lighting looks fine in this video. Foundation looks lovely on your skin even after all those Hours!! If you prefer more of a foundation look, why don't you try mixing it with the original candid foundation that you said left your skin dry . Think that would give you the coverage that you are after xx
Yes I think a review on that would be good. Mixed feelings about the lighting Gemma you seemed to be nearer the camera and it was okay but looked at one of your other videos and thought it was better.
Ah, the joy of lighting. Now, I must say, I prolly never would have even noticed it before- but since you pointed it out...... I can tell your light source is to your right. The screen right- your left side of your face looks to have much more shadow than screen left- your right. I hope this helps you. Like I said, once you point it out I can really see the shadow on the screen right- your left side of your face.
Gemma, I liked the lighting. On the foundation I usually wear a shade darker than you, so I found it interesting you are wearing 200 because I wear 120.
I have a couple of lovely foundations when I want a full makeup look. But daily I really prefer a light coverage that evens out my skin tone. This looks like a great possibility. Thanks iappreciate your honest reviews. Does your mom like this? I'm sure I'm closer to her age.

First, I thought the lighting was good. I really liked the foundation. I’ll be trying that. I like looking as if I have no makeup on my skin. It’s so fresh and enjoyable when I’m face to face with others. The places I frequent are so common, grocery store, post office, neighbors back yard, pharmacy, dry cleaners, that less foundation is definitely more friendly and a naturally healthy look. Question. necessary do people re-apply a bit of foundation hours later? Just wondering.
Hi Gemma. Need help quick please!! I’m a 57 year old with normal/combi skin and usually use Estée Lauder Double Wear. But...I look like a ghost on pictures. My son gets married in 8 weeks and I need a fabulous alternative that will stay put, cover imperfections and make me look good in pics.
