Why anyone would want to say look at my flat, dry lips is beyond me. I stockpiled L’Oreal balm but now I have to move on. This looks like a good choice.
Stunning colors! I like how they incorporated some of their classic lipstick shades (Cherries in the Snow, Love is On, Rum Raisin, etc) into this formula. I'm really pleased that the glossy look is back on trend, I'm so over matte everything! XO
I am with you on the matte everything! I gave up matte and liquid lipsticks a couple years ago, just really started to hate the way my lips felt while wearing them. Am all about the gloss and cream formulas now!
Knowing this is Revlon, they are usually satisfying with their lip products. But I don't want to be heartbroken again for loving a lipstick shade then seeing them discontinue the line after a few years (Velvet Touch, Color Burst, Street Wear among my lost loves).
Lipstick Zombie Omgoodness yes I remember Street Wear. I came across some old, old products buried in my closet and there was a Street Wear nail polish.

MrsHopkins73 omg, my *only* lipstick for years and years was called rum raisin!!! I don’t remember the exact version but it was Revlon. Thanks for that memory, and it blows my mind that I only had one vs the waaay too many I have now. 😂

They're SO good and SO comfortable! I got 1 but I'm def getting 1 more but most likely 2 more! 😂 I have Nude Illuminator and it's gorg! I want the rose one for sure and I think I want the rum raisin one too! I'm kind of glad I don't like most of the colors cuz I'm more of a nude or pink type of girl for the most part because I'd probably buy them all 😂 a lot of the colors are too grey tho!
Great job, very clear presentation. I might actually like the Black Cherry in this formula. Is too dark and extreme for me in the crème and matte versions. But I don’t care for this Rum Raisin or Fire & Ice. No oomph. Anyway, thanks!
I bought this in Rum Raisin and really enjoy it! I'd suggest applying lightly, since a heavy amount tends to settle into the creases of my lips a bit. A smaller amount spreads more evenly.

I've loved the shade Rum Raisin from them for years. It was one of the first lipsticks that I ever purchased and I still buy it whenever I run out so I'm definitely gonna check out this finish. These seem nice for those no makeup makeup days especially in the winter when your lips needs that more forgiving finish. They definitely should've created a more narrow tube for this formula. I wonder how similar are these to L'oreal's Colour Riche Shine Glossy Lipsticks. That's what immediately came to mind as seeming similar.
I find that these are good alternatives to the fenty beauty slip shine sheer lipstick! The formula for this is more "melty" but I find it to be more pigmented.
Alcohol will take off that residue. I have the sparkling honey shade and I like it alot, doesnt really look grayish on my lips, looks like revlon Mink except glossier and more sheer... considering a light pink but need swatches...
Black Cherries reminds me a lot of Clinique's classic "Black Honey" shade, universally flattering for most skin tones. There are some really lovely tones in these and I do miss some former Revlon lip products as mentioned in other comments; seems like their Skin Lights series of products was ahead of its time.
Great video! I love this product and have already bought 10 shades. Closest product to the discontinued butter lipsticks. Same caramel scent and definitely hydrating.
Great job! Swatches first, so we could get a good idea of the colors, and then the joy of seeing them on your lips. Easy to choose ones that I like for myself. I already have the Love is On lipstick, so will skip that one. But ones I want: Cherries in the Snow, Glistening Purple, Shine Stealer, and Glassed Ruby. THANKS SO MUCH.

I love these. I don't twist up the lip stick very high do it's not really that messy on the tube. It is a little but I don't care. They are so pretty and feel so comfortable on the lips.
I bought one with low expectations. It's great looking at getting other colors. Looks great over other colors without fake shine look. It looks more of a dewy shine.
These remind me exactly of the physicians formula butter glosses...I bought one and never again!!! They melted all over the lid the tube and my face....and last but not least MY TEETH!!! These are no more than one of those tinted butters in a pot from lisa Frank that were like $4....and these revlon and physicians formula charge $10 or more...ridiculous!!! It's not worth the plastic they've melted all over lol....thanks allura once again for your in depth review...I think I'll binge watch and catch up on your videos I've missed!
I hate those PF butter glosses and I LOVE these! They're nothing alike honestly. Well they're both "glossy" but the texture is different and these actually stay in my lips they don't need out the butter gloss ones. These are so smooth feel great and the smell is barely noticeable at all but if u actually stick ur nose in it it's a pleasant almost caramel scent not that nasty overpowering scent from pf!
It seems that these compare to the Marc Jacobs/Kaja/Sephora gloss sticks that come in the click-up packaging. Now it makes sense why those click up. If they were retractable, they’d be as messy as these are. Thank you for your thorough review. I truly appreciated watching it. ☺️

i wanted to buy the chanel lipsticks very similar to this but these are just like them but can’t beat the price. i bought the nude illuminator one and it’s even kinda similar to the very popular chanel boy color but with a hint more pink/more overall color i think. love it
Thanks for swatching and reviewing these. They really remind me of the Loreal Colour Riche Shine lipsticks. I'm really crushing on Glistening Purple, Black Cherry, and Toasting Glass. I'm already thinking of lip pencils I can pair them with to boost opacity. My dry lips need all this moisture! - on another note, I finally subscribed. I have no explanation why I haven't until now because you have the most useful content on the platform for makeup lovers like me. I guess better late than never!
Really not a wide lipstick user I prefer lip liner for that natural look. But I love these, they give a nice bitter feel without that sticky lip gloss feel. They also give a nice color but not to heavy. I do wish they would not do the messy stickers though. Or use ones that don’t leave such a residue behind. I do use GOOgone on three of them to get all of it off.

The physicians formula murumuru butters do that same thing where the product gets down on the tube - they're so messy that it deters me from using them because I don't want to put them in my purse for fear the cap will come off and I'll have a mess to deal with later.

(if you had to shell out of your own pocket, then I'd say just a few to know quality and lasting power, altho I could watch swatches all day long) There is also a gloss too, but not quite as curious about that if I had to choose. I actually love these! My CVS has them all already! I got the Nude Illuminator shade! I'm def getting the Glossed up Rose one! And I thought the rum raisin looked super pretty too! They feel great and have a very soft scent thankfully it's very faint but it actually smells great I would say it is more like a caramel scent! I'm happy I picked up the shade I got I'm fair/light skin toned and have very pale lips so the color shows up on me more than you for sure. I had a buy 1 get 1 free manufacturer coupon and a $5 off Revlon CVS coupon so I got 2 for $4! I bought another one of the new matte lipsticks that came out and I'm mad at myself I didn't pick up 2 of these instead! I knew I def wanted the 1 I got and I was eyeing the Rose one too but IDK why I decided to buy the matte instead because I had already bought 2 of the matte ones! Somehow the buy 1 get 1 free coupon charged me for the matte lipstick which was $8.99 not these which are $9.99 at CVS also which I was pleasantly surprised about. So for a little over $4 I got 2 great lipsticks so I can't really complain! Now if only I can find more manufacturer coupon inserts to get more buy 1 get 1 free coupons! I get stuff basically free at CVS all the time with all the coupons they give you and extra bucks! I just realized I got $4 back in extra bucks on the 2 lipsticks so they pretty much were free since it was $4 and change! 😂 I love it!
Your video was so helpful as I’m looking to buy some of the glass shine 💄. Could you let us know what your natural lip color is please? I always have a hard time because my lips are kind of a mauve so colors don’t turn out like I think they will
They remind me of one of the products featured recently in Makeup Breakup where it's so soft and buttery that (I think it was Marc Jacobs) put it in a nonretractable tube because otherwise the "mushing" that you experiences would have happened. The episode is on nonretractable products, so they talk about how while the packaging might be annoying, it does serve a purpose in holding all of the product in because a traditional bullet would have been a disaster.
The L’oreal Color Riche lipsticks are more pigmented and have the same messy issue. The trick is to only twist enough to apply them, and wipe them off after application. I have to wipe out the L’oreal caps cause they are clear.
This sort of reminds me of the Physicians Formula Butter lipsticks although those have a lot of stain. I am attracted to Mauve, Cherries in the Snow and Ruby.
The sheer formula of their original Super Lustrous Lipsticks is highly underrated, it also feels like a balm, the color payoff is near identical to these and the product doesn't melt as easily. I really hope Revlon doesn't discontinue the sheer line in place of these. Rich Girl Red is my go to sheer red.
Mariel H They DID discontinue the sheer line. I’m bummed. I love my pink truffle and wish I had bought berry smoothie. These smell like the almay lip butters (same company) and are similar but the Revlon shine are more translucent and greasy.
@@Mariakayc I just noticed your comment and I'm bummed too. I love my Rich Girl Red! You should check Big Lots stores if there's one near you. I managed to find a few shades and picked up Carnival Spirit. I'm pretty sure I saw Pink Truffle too.
I've been looking for lipsticks without fragrance and flavor. I know flavor isn't as bad as fragrance to your skin but some of the flavored lip products smell absolutely horrendous... (NYX butter gloss, essence shine shine shine, and most of peripera, tonymoly, etude house lip tints too, bareMinerals usually have peppermint oil which is a skin irritant too). Makes me not wanna use them. Please, if you have recommendations for unscented/unflavored lipsticks!
Residue on the tube can easily be removed with baby oil or any kind of oil product. I’m not bothered by the small amount of residual product when advancing the lipstick. IMO some make more of a deal about these minor things than necessary. It can happen with the higher end oil based lip colors as well.
I have one of these. The formula and tube don’t hold a candle to the lip butters. Those were so thick and stayed on for hours. These are greasy, I think.
I'm going to pick up Nude Illuminator, based on this video! Also, maybe try Goo Gone on your lipstick tubes and see if it removes the leftover glue. :)
