I'm sorry, but this video is horrendously long and drawn out. ALL of this could have been told and shown in 3 minutes. Dragging it out to TWENTY minutes???? Why?

Thank you so much. I was just thinking last night about trying that exact same product, thinking it might work. I’m so glad to know that it does.

thank you for your kindness in showing your viewers what you have learned through hardwork pays off. I am a painter that has primary dystonia and can no longer stand @ my easel 7 to well all night working on oils. Portraits mainly, some still life so that is that since 2006 no longer a painter. Now I have discovered the most beautiful pbn kits that can become quite beautiful I I'm a master colorist so I plan on purchasing paint, Grumbacher making the art my own, sitting and @ my pace, so my dear again thank you. With regard Ladena

I found a way to just put a little extra paint over the numbers and it makes it look more textured. I am surprised at how messy that the lines look here in this painting and I’ve been trying to stay inside the lines which is a mistake I guess as you are supposed to paint over the lines and it doesn’t matter what it looks like? I am having a hard time with lighter colors and trying to color the lines, but since this is my first attempt, not worried about it as it is an experiment. This is a very long video as someone else said. But my advice to them is to fast-forward, I just thought when doing these you were supposed to be more careful about staying on the lines or within the lines. But I have seen blending videos which are very interesting to me.

I just wanted to thank you for this. Recently I got into PBN and became incredibly addicted, and the glopping method just makes me sad. I feel like everyone is looking at the number-covering bumps. As per your advice, I have ordered the recommended supplies and can't wait to try it. It's great that you are willing to share your secret with others.

I actually like texture in some of my paintings 🥰

Actually you can just use white first to cover the number

Yes, or sharpie makes an acrylic paint pen in different colors, including white. That's what I use.

I tried that technique and it really didn't work with my style. I don't like my finished painting to show any brush strokes - I work very hard to make my paintings smooth unless I'm trying to create an effect (like tree bark or something). I found the white marks were noticeable. I ended up having to lay down far thicker paint than I would normally do just to cover the white marks. Ended up just as much an issue as the numbers. I think it all depends on your painting style. The white pen is a hard pass for me - I've been looking for a different solution.

That worked for awhile for me but I love the option of removing the number.

This sounds like a great solution to my biggest complaint about PBN. Do you clear gesso your canvas before painting and, if so, does the number removal still work? Thanks!
@creativecraftswithginny

Yes I tested it and it still removes the number

Can you use it with oils

I have not seen a true paint by number oil painting in decades, but you could try this method. Most likely the number on the canvas are done in ink.

If your pbn is on a board not canvas can it damage the board or canvas? Tyvm as learned priming your image first like any painting will make it look better!
@creativecraftswithginny

Will not damage a canvas, need to do more testing on a board. I will get one ordered for testing and will update.
