Like all revolvers, it vents hot gass out the side because of the cylinder gap. That's the reason revolver rifles never became popular. You are cooking your cheek if you shoot one if these like a rifle
This design is made by 3 or 4 Turkish companies. I have the 18.5” model from Landor Arms. Extremely heavy double action and you get hit in the face with unburnt powder not to mention how much powder residue escapes and coats the cyclinder, receiver and forend. The most dirty gun I’ve ever owned.
This is why those old west revolving rifles ended production! Stupid design, and unnecessary, other than for those who buy any and all weapons based on being 'cool" as opposed to functional.
You pretty much described me - many of the guys I have I bought for novelty value. I have my fair share of “practical” shotguns like Remington and Mossberg pumps.
cowboy; pulls out colt walker 1847 45. with a stock you; blinks guns go off simultaneous you; fall to the ground with a coffee can size hole in your chest. the cowboy walks away because he's 100 yards out. cowboy: dies of dysentery the next day because he's doesn't understand micro biology and drank water with poo in it you : come back to life 3 days later because you are the son of god all the villagers: burn you alive because they cant tell the difference between when god resurrects someone and a demon does .your revolver shot gun becomes a holy weapon that can cure dysentery if you shoot your self in the head with it
This may or may not be the most practical shotgun to own, but you gotta admit... It definitely has the cool factor going on! Lol! Enjoy your new addition to the family! (Smile) Stay safe and healthy. Peace
This one is particularly small even for a .410, so probably not the best example. The stock has an awkwardly short length of pull and the barrel is only about 10" because it keeps the overall length under 26" to comply with weirdo Canadian gun restrictions. Nevertheless it is a really cool niche gun. We can't get them in the US, but I'd have one in a heartbeat if I could.
That is a interesting weapon I’ve seen revolver carbines and revolver pistols this is the first time I’ve seen a revolver shotgun this is a interesting and genius concept
Taurus made a .410 revolver that holds 7 rounds [Raging Judge Ultra Light Model 513 Variant 1] that wasn't any bulkier than the 5-rounders. They need to translate that to the carbines!
I've got beef with the practicality of revolvers as daily carries or in survival situations, but hot damn. I'm talking to my local shop to see if I can order one of these things.
Today I shot from a revolver handgun. Similar to the steps putting bullets in and using the piece on the firearm to eject the cartridges. Totally different from other shotguns.
