I found the persistent watermark to be rude and unnecessarily intrusive. You only need it for the first opening moments. Don't be so possessive with your content that you destroy the experience for the viewer. Or at least, if you are that paranoid about this, then make it less "in the viewers face". Maybe off to one side...
