It was pretty inaccurate. They even called the drummer “Jesse” in the film when his name was actually Jerry Allison, and they changed bass player Joe Maulden’s name to “Ray Bob”.
@@abraham_benson_official They had to change the names because of copyright etc but Busey's performance of Holly was spot on, according to many people who knew him.
