It's so hard to imagine future videos without the beautiful Marshall ❤ I hope you are both finding peace. I can't believe how quickly you got the electrics and plumbing installed! Would you mind sharing your contractors details with me please? I finally bought a house here and it will need rewiring and plumbing installing once I have had the roof fixed. (any recommendations for roofers would be greatly appreciated too 😉) I'm further South than you guys but still within 30 mins or so
Happy to see you have a massive progress. By the way, the ceiling, maybe you can remove it in the kitchen (I believe you said it’s kitchen) as it is plastic. I honestly hate those plastic ones. I remember my grandma had in two of the bedrooms (they though it’s cool back in the 80’s) By the way you, maya and few more inspired me to kinda renovate my village house as well xd. It’s mostly paining but still some refreshment xd
We're going back and forth about the ceilings. For now the 80s style kitchen ceiling will have to last. But we might take the other ones still out... A little scared what we'll find there. And yay to your renovation project. A bit of paint can make such a difference! Thank you for watching! Franzi
Sorry if I'm asking such a stupid question, but why didn't you install a power cable with 3 cables, as it is known in Germany and many other countries (with grounding)? Upgrading is not that easy. I personally wouldn't have skimped on that. I've accidentally been electrocuted before, and thanks to grounding, not much happened. Without it I would have stayed dancing on the cable - game over 😅 PS: Think of a lightning rod at some point 😇
Honestly weren't even given a choice. They just showed up with these cables and we didn't even realise till much later. It will be fine. Getting used to bulgarian style. But a lightning rod is a good idea 😊
@@outliersbulgaria too bad the company doesn't even ask what you want. The cables cost just a little more than the 2 wired. Please remember to switch everything off as soon as you work on the electricity 💪
It will be different from house to house. We only got the main house wired up but with cables through the outside walls to the garage and summer kitchen for easy extension when we need it. It was about 2000lev for plumbing and electrics, without material. Took eight days.
Looking to move to Bulgaria myself next year so interested about costs, a lot of money but really cheap compared to uk prices.. sorry about your dog, really shocking x
@@pippawise6877 everything is getting more expensive everywhere. We will try to do a lot ourselves, but electrics and plumbing we said from the start, we want to have done properly. We're still not quite over our loss. Such a good boy, such a waste. But we're hanging in there
so you have decided to live like ordinary people, with electricity and shower.... shame on you!.... just kidding, very happy for your progress :) :) :)
In retrospect it seems a bit silly having pipes installed when we never have any running water 😂 We do like electricity though. Will be saving a few years til we can go solar
@@outliersbulgaria we have been thinking about solar for such long time but our bills are so small that we don't really need to go off grid. Only need something for power cuts, which are extremely rare in our village, our mayor wouldn't tolerate spending even ten minutes without his telly :)
