The new Chat Noir looks like he´s about to yell: "DIE!" at the next villain he encounters. Which isn´t a bad thing. I think him being a bit unhinged and wild during battles could be interesting.
I also would like to think that Adrien would try harder to hide his ring because of how terrified he is of losing Chat Noir, maybe putting it as necklace underneath his clothes or something small like to make it not as visible and easy to take.
Yea! I thought about that too, but I went deeper into Marinette's because she could put magnets to hide her earrings and give the illusion that she changes them. I thought about using it on the foot but I don't know if it would be very functional

@@miss.mirana4061 I like the idea, but just the opposite. I wanted her to have a more Asian cut when transformed, although I love the Callimari designer I wonder if it wouldn't be too revealing too. I wanted the civil designer to be more ethnic and simpler, further contrasting a more ethereal and creative superhero look. The idea of the magnets is for no one to be like "then you never take it off, it must be Ladybug". I would add the Clark Kent effect to the costumes but the fact that Marinette even in the Lucky charm design still looks like a cretin eeeeh....
@@thefaithalflaw I mean, no one really knows about the Miraculouses apart from the holders, so she could just say it's merchandise or something, after all, we know they have movies made about them aswell as plushes and toys, so they probably have accesories dedicated to them too
Fingerless gloves (the type that covers the whole palm instead of individual fingers) would look cool. Or he could wear rings on other fingers so that the important one is less noticeable among them.
I like that you kept the bells. I imagine that he would taunt his enemies during battle and they would freak out because they can hear the jingling of the bells but can't see him. Cute idea: Imagine Cat Noir saving a little kid and they're just playing around with his bell like a kitty cat.
I LOVE THIS IDEA. like him being super hinged and wild in battle (especially towards those he knew were adults just to freak them out) and as soon as he sees a kid his entire demeanor changes and becomes a house cat to calm the kid down
Imagine this: you’re some Villain of the Week, and all of the sudden, you just hear the jingle of bells. It fills you with inexplicable fear, and then you see some random 14 year old.
I find it very odd that Emilie has only been... Gone... For one year. Because Adrien doesn't really talk about his mom like he knew her. At least to me, it doesn't seem like Adrien acts like someone who lost his mom recently, he doesn't seem like someone who has known and interacted with Emilie for aproximately 12/13 years. He never says anything specific about his mom and her personality that he misses (one time he says that his mom made him laugh a lot and he hasn't laughed like that since she left but that's it).

I love the clothes you gave him!! He looks so handsome and fashionable. He actually looks like the son of a fashion designer, unlike the original, which is good but the colors feel off. Maybe you could redesign Marinette's civilian outfit or other characters from the show or characters from other shows. Either way, good job and you should definitely expand your horizons beyond Yandere because you're very good.
To me the original looks basic, like just some kid and not this all important rich model with a famous fashion designer dad and a missing famous actor mom

With your changes in mind, wouldn't it be a really cute bonding activity for Adrien to commission Marinette as a designer? I imagine his dad ALWAYS picks out the clothes he gets to wear, so having Marinette design an outfit he actually likes and shows his personality would be good for them. It could also give a small hint to Marinette about his identity (maybe his joyful laugh when he sees the outfit reminds her of Chat Noir or something similar) but she brushes it off cause there's no way those two could be the same person.

That's kinda what I was thinking. It's a great design but I feel like it's too much for Adrien. It's giving more kdrama ceo to me. I get that she wants him to dress like a model but I wouldn't have chosen it. Now that I'm thinking about it, I would probably just change the jacket to something less dramatic but still stylish
It’s interesting how your version feels like if Felix from the anime ladybug story fused with final Adrien, it’s quite fun and I think it fits best. I also think that maybe he isn’t angered easily but more so completely numb and cold to his father.
I think it woul also be more interesting if he is colder in the first season. He want friends! He wabt to be free and unrestricted and lough free about dumb Jokes... but he Was raised to be cool and aloof. He is dorky and fails too communicate with his classmates on a normal Level... that makes him allienated and drifting away from the others. I thinks: i am not allowed to be so! And so he is cold. Smiley not often but is polite. When we got a moment (Chloe or Nino) he want to take a good thing and trys in his own way. It fails. But cuz he is in hisself a good guy, he dispise bullying. Takes side with Nino, let some comment falling, that he find him and his music cool... but then is back to cold. But little they see he is a cold but warm guy... who is just not quiet comfy with the "normal" honest society. He could become more honest lil by lil and keep Chloe in check. His crazy CN personality could become sometimes in special Moments (Marinette got lot "heroic" LB moments in RL) visible and when he is closer with the people. So he can change a little and the "big god" can become more and more human to the class and they can also change the way they see him. From a lil enemy, too maybe he is okay, oh he is really okay!, i think he is really a very good guy, i like him!, hey wanna hang out?, i want to be his friend... oh me too! Oh he is my freund alreaey! The class ließ him really! He is a part of us all! So and Marintte godly crush... A don't goes soft in an Instant it is a progress and he is the entire time a lil but cold. So see can view him as "cold Bastard... oh he is nice!" Maybe see more of his true self an likes him early than all... i think this would be more... honest... and not so Toxic (?). But all in all it is a Mask he wears to conceal. And M do not see all behind it. And that is okay. She falls in love with his cold aloof but geniuely friendly self. It would more explain the crushing and the distance she feels, cuz he is so alien... untouchable. This can also change when they grew neary and all in all... when he got CN moments als A, she can be suprised and have a crises... but she can learn too appreciate this part of him and can be lucky for him when he can let go of the learned Maske he wears cuz she want him to be free and happy! Yes! He could look like he doesn't care on the outside but on the inside he actually is mad or hurt- now that he's Cat Noir that means he can be free to express himself without fearing any consequences. If he exploded no one would print a gossip magazine on the perfect son was not so perfect after all etc etc. His father wouldn't know. The press wouldn't know. No one would know. Or! Ladybug could teach Adrien to be more free- I mean he's been cold and blank his whole (or well most of) his life. Ladybug could be the person that teaches him that he's free to be who he wants to be because he's his own person and THAT'S WHAT MAKES CHAT NOIR FALL IN LOVE WITH HER!! @@monocerusfairy1290 Maybe this could also be a problem with his superhero life, he wants to help everyone but doesn't know how to help anyone, so he usually ignores Ladybug's orders to try and do what he thinks is right and fails because he either didn't know how to, or Ladybug got in the way and they started arguing. Maybe that's the reason why they at the beggining don't reveal their identities, because they don't trust eachother and don't feel confortable sharing their secret identites (aswell as then still being new to being a superheroes and not being confident enough about themselves) but as time goes on they become more open to one and other until they decide to actually reveal themselves. I think that's a more interesting dinamic than Chat harrassing Ladybug while she emotionally abuses him
I love the little bells on the gloves because I imagine every time he moves his hands to punch or swing his staff the bells jingle. I think that'd be both adorable yet intimidating for the villains when they hear the jingle.
What if when they do their "pound it", that's when the magic does its thing. Small, wispy black cats run around and destroy the debris, then bright red ladybugs create new things. The cats and the ladybugs then work together to resurrect the fallen people, quickly weakening the barrier of death and creating life once again for the souls who fell
That's actually a really cool concept :D So then would the people who'd died be the originals? And if so, does that mean they would be brought back as babies and have to start their life over (essentially they would still be themselves, with the same genetics, same parents ect.) Or would they be brought back as themselves, just before they died?
My thought was that they would come back as anywhere between right before they died to around two or three months ago. It would depend on how long it took them to ‘save the day’. If if takes them really long, the time of the souls would be around three months in the past
This is such a cool concept, plus it makes sense for how their Kwamiis are, yin/Yang, create/destroy, life/Death, it at least makes the whole ‘no-one dies’ thing have some semblance of sense, better than the original

I feel like forbidding linearity from the episodes was inherently a mistake. The show has an end goal in defeating Hawkmoth and taking back his Miraculous. It's not like SpongeBob or Phineas and Ferb where most of the stories are contained in one episode, Miraculous has a overarching plot. Making it nonlinear just makes it look like the problem will never be solved for literally no reason.
Yeah it feels like MLB has to many season because of that and the creators don't know what they're doing or what the story actually is or will be, the show doesn't really feel like it's about something it just feels random and contrived
I love this Adrien so much. The gremlin energy is so strong with him and I love it. I can imagine Cat Noir being the type of person to mock and tease the villains while fighting them, but then once he realizes he's probably gonna get his ass kicked he goes "Hey come on! I'm just a little guy! I'm just a little guy nooo! You wouldn't hurt a little guy would you?"
Has a french girl, i confirm it, they're in middle school. As for Adrien, i have heard a lot of stories about him. For example, Adrien's first concept was a handicapped boy. This idea was pretty interesting and i got sad to learn why they didn't take that idea for the show

I love the thought of making him a "wild cat" as Chat Noir. it's perfect for his personality both in the show and in this rewrite. It's that breaking away from perfection or whatever one wants you to be that makes it so awesome! You're really talented with your rewrite/redraws. I'm in love 😍
But it's better because I'm also rebellious and this video really makes me fall in love with Adrien new character and all. I mean as a victim, I relate how he was treated (but with mother relationship of course) and also the abuse is different than Adrien as well
During the design part I thought to myself "It looks like Bakugo as Chat Noir". Five minutes later "yeah I was inspired by Bakugo". Genius! The perfect rebel
Thing is, both have a fashion designer parent. Only difference is, it actually shows in some of Bakugo's everday outfits, I don't really see it in Adrien's main outfit.
As someone who has recently finished French 1, we did go over French schools and their classes, and variations between middle school, highschool, and college. While our systems go from 1st to 12th grade, theirs go from sixème (6th), cinqième (5th), quatrième (4th), to troisième (3rd). This means that their middle school grades go from greatest to least in number, not the other way around. Whilst it's important to do research (like callimara did), it's important for the viewers of _any_ media to recognize that not everything is American. This show is a French show, if it weren't obvious enough. France has manymanymanymany differences compared to America, and while some are obvious. For a basic example, the Faire la Bise (kiss on the cheek) is mostly common knowledge for us. We think French greetings and think "Ah yes, the cheek kiss!" But most people aren't aware that hugging is their romantic gesture, like cheek kisses are for us. In fact, the French don't ever really hug, and there is no French verb for "to hug" either. You should _never_ hug anyone- especially not a stranger- in France unless it is your child or partner. Otherwise, they'd consider it how we consider someone randomly kissing your cheek: flirtation. If you look up, "I hugged them" in Google Translate to French, you will see it translated to "Je les ai embrassés," which translates to "I kissed them." (Embrasser is also the French verb, "to kiss," not to embrace.) That being said, MLB has an awful lot of hugging and they typically do try to add things more friendly to other cultures. My guess is this is American culture being brought in because... Well, it's American culture. We're pretty influential worldwide. Regardless, hopefully someone found this interesting. Make sure to keep in mind that yes, things are different, even the minute. Another fun little tidbit... While we in America teach our children to keep our elbows _off_ the table, the French teach their children to keep their elbows _on_ the table. See? Anything, no matter how small, can be different depending on culture. So do some research before getting up in arms in comment sections and the like. :)
Ahh, yea. It’s the same for Spain too. While I’m not exactly Spanish, (I’m Asian American) I’ve grown up there, and they do a lot of cheek kissing when they Great others, especially the adults. It’s not romantic at all, it’s like waving hello to someone, it’s just a way of greeting.
@@katthehufflepuff3269 Exactly. A lot of our romantic gestures are only "romantic" based off of culture telling us that it is, not because of an actual romantic emotion being struck by that action. As in, a kiss can mean everything or nothing at all depending on your culture, not solely your emotions. That said, I dont think this makes them any less special though. 🙂
One thing i like more about the original designs of Marinette and Adrien is that their color schemes are actually complete opposites of each other, both their hair and their clothes are inverted to highlight how their characters are written to be opposites. also i've seen a lot of people who rewrite Adrien kinda resort to making him yet another frustrated angsty teenage boy who hates his father or whatever, like the trope thats been done a billion times, but i actually like how he's written in a more stereotypically ''feminine'' way as in he is very empathetic and has a more sensitive way of dealing with his trauma. (aka kinda being a doormat) not something you see a lot (at least not me). Anyway i definitely agree that his depression and his character in general should be explored more. my rambling aside, this was a great video!

@@HobieInTheBox The show creators have stated that they tried to break typical gender stereotypes with how they wrote the main characters, that's what i meant. The way Adrien acts in the show actually has a term called ''fawn response'' that causes children to be unreasonably forgiving of others and is very common with c-ptsd victims. All i meant with my comment was that it's a breath of fresh air to see an abused male character written like this instead of yet another angsty teen with anger issues. Not saying that having anger issues or anything isn't a realistic response- it is. But that doesn't mean that acting the opposite isn't equally as realistic and it isn't something that's often portrayed with male characters. and i never said that he should stay a doormat?? being a people-pleaser is something he would need to work on obviously. Just like with any other trauma.

Yesss exactly! Love the way you put this. I like that he’s a gentle kid, and that despite him having the Miraculous of destruction, he doesn’t deal with his trauma with force and aggression (as Adrien). The show does a terrible job of balancing this with actually showing his grief and pain, but at the core I love that he just wants to make the people around him happy and their lives easier. It would be very refreshing if it was actually done well.
So not only do I adore the look you gave Adrien, but I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the concept of both him and Marinette needing to combine their powers to reverse the damage on the city! The way you have both their powers and the characters themselves play off of each other creates a much stronger yin and yang dynamic, which is great since we know from imagery and whatnot that that's exactly what the show is aiming for. Admittedly, I always thought the flirtatious and kinda teasing way Cat Noir acts towards Ladybug was kinda fun to watch, plus I feel like him behaving like that opens up a possibility for a discussion about him taking his new hero role more seriously. So basically what I'm saying is that, even if it's relatively toned down, I feel like that flirtatious back and forth aspect to their relationship would probably still be there, though I imagine Ladybug usually will shut him down if they're in the middle of dealing with an akuma attack or something. He'd generally get more fun banter out of her during downtime and possibly during patrols if/when they do those.
Personally, I've never been bothered by Chat Noir's flirty attitude. As a person who enjoys flirting casually with my friends, I get it. To me--and this is probably just a me thing--it never really feels like he expects something to happen if he flirts enough times. Like he doesn't actually expect her no to change to a yes. He flirts because it's fun and something he can't do as Adrien. So might as well flirt with his crush every chance he gets because her reactions are "adorable" to him. To me, there's a clear difference between when he's seriously asking Ladybug for more and where he's just casually flirting. The episode where he did the rooftop date being a clear example. In that one, he was softer, wasn't really flirty as much as sweet, like he wanted to show Ladybug that he could be serious for her. And when she rejects him, expressing that she's in love with someone else, he backs off. He's still heartbroken, sure. I mean, his crush basically told him that he has zero chance in hell with her. But he backs off and is never serious like that again. He just returns to his usual banter-flirting.

It was a mutual running gag, and even Ladybug didn't think he was serious. Then seasons 3-4 happened and just... ruined *that* dynamic to stir drama for episode money. 😭

She just rolls her eyes at him, tells him to get his head in the game, and continues on with the battle. Also I have NO idea who told Calli that seasons 3-4 were better than 1-2. Whoever did had to be smoking something. Chloe was disrespected hardcore. Chat was disrespected hardcore. Marinette was made into more of a Mary Sue. Anything good from seasons 1-2 were tossed in the trash compactor. Don't know why people still try to cling to hope that it'll get better. We had that prayer in season 3 and look where that got us?
"I wanna watch this version of the story"-- was all I thought at the end of this video. This is 100x better than the show! Both costume-wise and power/role-wise. You nailed the duality of "perfect model son" and "wild chaotic cat" in your designs and just yes, yes, and YES on your plot development, power usage and how he behaves as both of his personas. Its everything he SHOULD have been as the other main character. Awesome video! I loved it x3
I like this version of him and it actually makes sense! Like him being formal, perfect and awkward cause he never had any friends (except for Chloe) and doesn't interact with other kids his age due to his position and is always pressured to be perfect no matter what happens in his life. And this Cat Noir version suits him much better cause he's been isolated his whole life so it makes sense for him to chaotic and kind of rebellious and free. Oh and your version of their powers actually balances their powers like how it's supposed to be.
I wish Adrien got more character development. The show kind of treats him like he can do no wrong, like Marinette but with less screen time. His biggest character flaw is that he’s too nice, but he has so much potential to be more! They can make him really nice and still give him flaws and development!
i like the idea of giving chat noir more powers, but i think it would make more sense for him to de-evilise the akumas because in a way that's 'destroying' the evil
well if we're going with this plus the verson if this video, the power imbalance would shift to Chat since he would have his cataclysm, breaking the item, fixing the akuma and redoing damage with Ladybug while Ladybug just has her lucky charm
@@worrydodo I was thinking we can have Chat be the only one to break akumatized Objects, (not just with his cataclysm but with his staff or just himself) have them both deal with Akumas (and bug would be creating new life for the akuma while Chat would be destroying the evil in it) have them both fix damages left (they can’t do it on their own)

Some people in the mlb fandom are always saying that Adrien is just "so attractive" and I'm just thinking about the fact that he looks so... average. I guess he looks kinds better then the other characters but he still looks no better than average in terms of looks. Plus, he dresses like my six-year-old cousin! THIS Adrien is someone who is actually attractive AND fashionable! These designs are amazing! They represent his personality so much. (I love the claw marks on Chat Noir's new costume)
I adore his new everyday design! Reflects his background and father’s’ grasp upon him so much better ( also the exclusion of those hideous orange shoes that are a fashion war crime is always a plus in my book). I liked how you changed his personality and gave him more ✨spice✨ as there was a great lack of it! I really don’t like how the writers push Adrien aside while he could potentially be one of the most interesting animated characters. Even in the current show, his background story is one of the few things that make Miraculous stand out and it is in those episodes in which Adrien is given the spotlight that the plot really shines ! I know you have not yet seen season 4. While it does improve on certain aspects, the power imbalance is more apparent than ever. Ladybug is given new powers and has become a perfect example of a Mary Sue. She is also , may I say, abusive towards Cat Noir making him feel inadequate. There are still some episodes left and I am curious about what is going to happen! Some episodes seem to have potential and I am hopeful they won’t disappoint!
Also, Ladybug does count as a kids show. Many people consider kid shows to usually range from 6 to 11. However, my nephew is 8 and he wasn't aloud to watch it for the longest time and by the time my sister let him, he hated it. It wasn't entertaining, he didn't like the characters, and he was confused about the plot. I really feel like Ladybug isn't a children's show, it pretends to be one while catering to adults and parents. But even now, they are sick of this show. Also this point isn't directly to you but I have heard it so many time. Just because something is made for children does not mean that it can be worse quality or teach bad lessons. Children need good media specificaly because they are smarter than we think. Seeing a main character be horrible and abusive to her friends is not gonna help kids. And example of me that may help some older people: When I was a kid my mom raised me on Disney, specifically Beauty and the Beast. While I do like the original tale, Disney fucked me up. I learned that I can heal a broken person and that even if they are a horrible person, it will work out in the end. From that information, can you guess how my first relationship went? Kids need better media to digest and Ladybug is not cutting it.
I totally agree that the original fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast is better because the Beast actually treats her nice heck he throws a party when she first gets there fireworks and all like I have no idea where Disney lot this actual monster of a beast that changes for Bell from I also particularly like the part in the fairy tale when he explains that the girl must come willingly and with full knowledge of what is going to happen
Although I agree that just because it’s a kid’s cartoon doesn’t mean it should be bad quality. Children aren’t as dumb as we think I disagree with what you said about beauty and the beast. Most likely that it confused me. It never thought that you can heal a broken person. Belle wasn’t afraid to stand up to the beast. Once he saved her Belle decided to give him a chance. It was up to the beast to change. And Belle slowly fell for him for that. Because it isn’t up to a person to save their S/O. It’s up to them to change for the better. Though watching Disney as a kid I also knew to separate reality from fantasy. Hercules was a example of that. Knowing that Zeus wasn’t the greatest father made me think, yeah fantasy is great but, I also need be well informed and take everything I see in the media with a grain of salt.
Same goes with Barbie movies, some of them even teaches kids that the moment villain tries to harm you, there is tomorrow and you can be your own hero than waiting to be rescue. Barbie and the three musketeers is the main example of that

Even though he's pressured into being "perfect", we don't actually see him having a breakdown or we get to actually see his suffering from keeping up the facade. Like idk, having a mental breakdown when he's alone instead of crying about Ladybug? His character had load of potential but ofcz, it's Miraculous.
I love this story and redesignes way more than the actual show. I loved the first 2 seasons, especially the first one, but then it went downhill and instead of watching the episodes I prefer to just keep up with it through reviews on youtube.
I find it hilarious how when the show points out how Ladybug doesn't need Chat Noir at all, they don't retort it with evidence to the contrary. On several occasions, actually, they showcase exactly that. Ladybug is just like "Yeah but he's the one I got assigned this project with and he's great moral support!"
I know it has nothing to do with the video itself, but since Callimara mentioned, Kagami is my favorite character too, along with Luka, and I ship them both, not because it's convenient but because there's a whole theory for it and I liked it a lot, there are so many things that connect the two and make them have the potential to be a very harmonious couple like the ying yang, if done right of course, it would be very strange if they appeared together out of nowhere without us being able to see how it happened. If they could have at least a friendship i would be very happy...
The way you said Plagg was like a chill parent almost made me laugh cuz I started thinking abt a situation and it's just Plagg flying up to Adrien like "Adrien! Adrien! Did you win!?"
I feel like it would make way more sense, if Chat Noir was responsible for the deakumatization. 'Removing' the akumatization from the butterfly doesn't line up with the creation powers of Ladybug again (I mean... what does she do with the Akuma in her Yoyo?)... So would't it make more sense, if Chat Noir were to destroy the evil energy that had possesed it and set the the butterfly free again? It would be a nice detail because he'd free the butterfly from his fathers control just like he frees himself from the very same person when transforming.
Your character rewrites are phenomenal, every one of them. They're everything the fandom could ever want! I LOVE the idea of their powers having to work together to restore Paris. Having them both yell out "Miraculous!" at the end is cute, I really like that. You found the exact puzzle piece that was missing to balance out their powers! It's genius. The dichotomy of the kwamis attitudes towards their holders is great as well. I like how it also directly contrasts with the way their parents raise them, with Tikki being a bit more of a strict trainer as opposed to Mari's parents' laid-back "Go get 'em, sweetie, have fun!" attitude, and Plagg's laid-back 'I'll let you do whatever you want, just win the fight' character as opposed to Gabriel's strict expectations of perfection. I also really love the designs. The Chat Noir costume suits him and his personality so well without changing the effect too much. At first, I was hoping you'd go for the green pants for Adrien, but once you explained the reason for the monochrome I was like "wow this is so well thought out," it makes so much sense! Also, I like how wild and scruffy you made his hair as Chat Noir, he looks really good. His personality shines through! I'd like to think that when he eventually is able to be himself as both Chat Noir AND Adrien, he'll wear something a little more like his canon outfit. Like maybe he'd go for a white button-down, but with a few buttons undone like the collar you did for Chat, and the sleeves rolled up or something. Just like, a more casual, wilder version of himself in the show. (but I still think he'd have more style than in canon lol)
16:20 Looking at it in hindsight, I strongly suspect that the reason for why Master Fu only approaches Marinette and not Adrien is that he is grooming her to be the next Guardian and he sees Chat Noir as a distraction. Personally, I would prefer to see Gabriel rewritten next as the villain technically should be the most important character after the main one(s) in any competently written show of this kind. And maybe it is just me, but it feels like the writers of the original show can't decide whether they want to be a standard McEvilGuy creating the Monster of the Week or a tragic figure the fans can feel sympathy for. Gabriel could have been interesting with a bit more complex writing, intensly chasing the Miraculous because he not only blames himself for causing Emile's coma but feels that it is his duty to fix it as the man of the household. He knows that he is doing something terrible, but doesn't feel like there is any other way. Unfortunately, this singleminded obsession along with his overprotectiveness and need to control his life (due to the fear of loosing him as well to something he couldn't have foreseen) causes him to shelter Adrien to the point where it becomes detrimental. Maybe they could have shown him calling off an akuma at the last minute because it almost went after his own son, or feel bad that he keeps putting Adrien in danger because the heroes refuse to give up. There are moments where the writers show that this is what they were going for (such as the episode where Gabriel suspects that Adiren might be Chat Noir) but most of the time you just want Adrien to be taken out of his custody. Edit: And by the way, I am getting big Rum Tum Tugger-vibes from your Chat Noir-design. And I am all here for it. :)
There's a lot of Marinette saving the day tho, despite not being Ladybug. I didn't mind it at first but it started to get annoying to I stopped reading :/

I still found it annoying how she got basically everything right and Chloe got basically everything wrong all the time tho. What really kept me reading was the hope that maybe it would click for Chloe that she needed to take her job more seriously and actually try hard to do it properly (because it was originally suggested to me as a comic with love for Chloe/good Chloe characterization) but nope. It doesn't get Chloe's personality entirely wrong but it feels almost as static as the show if that makes sense. Idk maybe it gets better.
I do remember that Adrien was supposed to be a disabled and I thought that would be really cool! Maybe giving another reason as to why he was sheltered by his father, because of Adriens mother being "dead"(?) Making his father wanting to 'protect' him being the only family he has left and then going on to not realize that he was neglecting his son because of his goals.
Love how, between this and the Marinette video, you basically fixed the series in about 80 minutes haha. I enjoy the show. But man it's frustrating at times, and I have a feeling I'd feel the same if I were the target audience age, too. They want to have their cake and eat it too, in making an episodic show that still delves into lore and plot progression. There are definitely good ways to balance that, but the reality of MLB ain't it and I think we all know that lol.
Honestly, the Miraculous Ladybug that I like the most is the one from the pilot opening.. a more anime art-style, Adrien is super cold and calm, but a bit scared of plagg, then as Chat Noir, he’s much more wild. Marinette is more silly than clumsy and awkward, she seems like she has a lot of bad luck, which makes it funny that she’s Ladybug. Also ADRIEN KNOWNS MARINETTE LIKES HIM!! He’s seen rejecting her multiple times! The action looks much darker and serious, with actual problems like a guy blowing up a building!
I love your redesign soo much! The writers really did Adrien dirty in the show, and I love how you gave him more personality and a bigger meaning in the show

Now I really wish the show was this way....Also I thought for the power balance, because LB has practicaly 3 powers - lucky charm, miraculous ladybug and the devilize akuma thing, so I would maybe add to Chat that only he can detect and find where the akuma is, because often is... weird how LB finds it so easily, so maybe only Chat can sense it and destroy it? Like only his cataclysm can destroy the object, he helps LB restore what the damage by the battle and now also only he can detect the akumatized object... It really gives him more active role than a passive punch back. Thanks so much for your redesings, I always enjoy it :)
I think Adrian should have become the closest one to master fu and the keeper of the Kwamis because he would have been just as important as Marinette in that sense. Not to mention, Adrian is really social as cat and he could show another side of himself to his friends without necessarily revealing everything
I'm so happy about the redesign and you giving Adrian more of a role in the story. Many ppl have argued that Adrian would make a better protagonist. But I think the reason Adrian has been forgotten is because the creator believes that its better to have a female main charcater, instead of a male protagonist like any other show. And idk about you guys but making the female protagonist stalk one of her classmates is the opposite of empowering females. Which is the reason why Marinette is the main charcater, not because she is interesting. Anyway I love that you brought up kagami everyone hates on her but I love kagami.
Now I want to see this Adrien in a fanfic rewrite with your redesign of Marinette. Also I love these designs and want to make art using them so bad because they are so pretty
The funniest part of Victorious is that because the writers are aware of how bad Victoria is as a singer (when compared to Ariana/Elizabeth), they NEVER have Tori sing against Kat or Jade.
This redesign was so good. I would love if your Ladybug and Cat Noir switched costumes. It would be really cool. Also I hope you only do the main hero redesign like Queen Bee, Carapice, and Rena Rouge and Halk month and Myria. I like some of the newer hero’s but would like the man 5 to be fleshed out. Imagine him going into some sort of rebel phase against his father and the model scene and he start wearing horrible clothes **like...cough...orange snickers...cough** and it kinda backfire, people like it, he's more popular. Two options : 1) He is even more pissed and Gabriel take advantage of the situation (father and/or Hawkmoth side) 2) Adrien take advantage of it and become more free, like ruling some of his schedule or become more like Chat in his personality and so, more happy. Or a mix! He hates it but doesn't show it. It's a strange feeling, being finally free but not satisfied. He want more but doesn't know what he really want. Between Adrien figuring out what he's looking for and his father discovering how he truly feel, it's only a question of time.
I really do love the redesign of this character, both visually and lore/personality wise. I think the power dynamic of chat noir and ladybug is pretty unbalanced, so I do like how you gave him more purpose than just being a tool for ladybug and made him actually necessary rather than someone who can be replaced by like 5 other miraculous holders unlike ladybug. I also really love the concept of him trying to find his mother and what might of happened to her, why she disappeared. I think that gives his character more depth in the show, a character with his own goals rather than a character who only serves to help ladybug. I think it also gives his character more drama and another reason to really like his character. The more depth a character has, the more detailed of an opinion and feelings you can have about them. Long story short I love this redesign, I wouldn’t be mad if you were the new writer of this show lmao.
I'm so glad someone is finally rewriting this show. I loved the concept, but watching it play out hurt physically to the point i had to rewrite it in my own head and make a new villain that made legitimate sense
I'd like to say that it was mentioned in season 4, adrien said, "If I was my true self to ladybug, maybe she would like me" So its a bit confusing because they have said chat noir is an escape for him but recently say that chat noir isn't his true personality? Like- WHAT Its confusing af

You do a fantastic job reworking this series, and yeah yeah people can say that from the outside looking in it’s easy. but i really like your creativity even when you’re just following the rules the shows lay out you manage to set up some really cool plot points! Working with existing material is so fun to me, just listening to where it could change and to better is really fun!
I realize that they use ladybug as the main character for girl power but they could have made an amazing show for both boys and girls. Like everyone can be strong
Adrien being more colorful as Chat Noir and Chat Noir being more like the “true” Adrien would actually match Marinette being more fashion oriented and a creative spirit! It would actually be pretty cool if behind his father’s back he takes up an art like hobby like spray painting ala Miles Morales and his Chat Noir suit becomes more and more colorful as the series goes on and Adrien starts expressing himself more
I think it’d also be interesting to see Adrien have panic attacks or social anxiety. Fear of crowds, fear of judgment, idk. He’s been isolated for so long, he doesn’t know how to ignore people’s mean comments so he takes it to heart. Even if it’s just a joke, he still takes it seriously. He gets nervous when he’s surrounded by people and he panics. His hands shake, he finds it hard to breath. He wishes he could’ve grown up to be a “normal kid”. He beats himself up over this, calling himself sensitive and emotional. When he’s a supermodel, all he has to do is walk forward, do some poses, and walk off. When he’s interviewed or surrounded by fans however, he doesn’t know what to do or say and he stutters on his words and says something awkward or something. And then he regrets it when he comes back home, and reads books like “how to be confident” or “how to speak to others in confidence” or “how to deal with social anxiety”.
as a kid who was homeschooled let me tell you i did not understand social cues and i hurt peoples feelings often because i was blatantly honest and didnt understand things i have adhd as well so that didnt help i have low empathy at times so i dont understand that people dont like the same things as me and i have high empathy to the point where i sabotage my own life to help others and thats how adrien is or how he should be my guy is a ball of energy and he doesnt really understand things he is a lot like rapunzel from tangled the series
Adrien is literally one of the most wasted characters of all time even though he's one of the PROTAGONIST They reverse his role with Marinette to treat him as a fucking delicate and dumb princess and that's so sexist and weird specially since he's a child Some plp think he should be the protagonist instead of Marinette and that's just sad
quite frankly i love this rewrite and redesign. it’s depressing watching his character’s potential be destroyed by the writing. maybe it’s a whole meta thing ab the cat miraculous destroying it themselves 😂
i wish you made the show. idk how much time you spent to come up with all of these ideas but its definately way less than thomas astruc yet your ideas are way more well thought and deep. espescially the part with fang swipe design showing his inner colors. its just too good.
Alright, hear me out here. I like the idea of either chat and ladybug having to work together to fix the mess. HOWEVER I saw this on a video and I think it deserves more attention. When I find the video, I will credit. First of its important to know that the dragon miraculous is the power of perfection, however the user gains the power to control the elements. Only the elements of water lightning and wind. Because it's not all the elements in any way, I don't think that really shows perfection. Elements in general isn't the first thing I think of when it comes to perfection. So instead, imagine this: The events of origins happen in the way Cali describes in the video. Except there is a third part where they realize that they missed something. They weren't careful enough in fighting, and when the battle is over, the people still remain as stone golem, except they are motionless without a leader to keep them. There is also lots of debris left from the battle. Chat tries to destroy the biggest pieces of it with his cataclysm, but its still not enough for the massive devastation. It becomes a phenomenon and it's all over the news. Master Fu doesn't have a TV and only owns a flipphone (he doesn't yet have marinettes number so she can't ask him for help) so after about a week, we see him introduce a new kwami, longg, the Kwami of the dragon. He is forced to use his power to return Paris to a state of perfection, which means that the end of season 1 would be where we find out a kwami using its own power would have serious consequences. The orbit of a mass, probably a meteor of some type is made "imperfect" as a result, and so chat noir has to destroy it before it hits. Luckily he makes it. The dragon miraculous is then offered by fu to a quiet, but calm girl (so she won't get akumatized) who's job is to claim "perfection" before a battle, so she can return things to their perfect state after the villain is deakumatized. To be fair, I had to shoehorn I'm a resolution to get the dragon involved after the battle because, a user wouldn't be able to do anything unless they were notified before the battle. Basically the power of the dragon would change to restoration, where they can claim a state of something, being Paris, but as an example, she could claim a miraculous as perfect and if it gets cataclysmed they could restore it. They could be a pert if the battle, but they would be purely fighting without magic until the end. I know this is long but tell me what you think if you read all this way
I actually really like the idea that Adrien would dress fashionably and the idea that hawk moth and cat noir would have some sort of side quests with hawk moth trying to get cat noir to join and the fact of him only appearing when he wants makes a ton of sense aswell
His "Cat"aclysm is also not only "destruction" is actually just VERY VERY BAD LUCK Thomas said that if that hit a person it could make that person sick, loose hair, crazy or just die But the show doesn't use that for much
I really like your ideas and concepts for both Marinette and Adrien rewrite and it struck me that if both Ladybug and Chat Noir are needed to fix the damage, maybe every single time they do "Pound It!" a glance of ultimate power, the power Hawk Moth is after is always leaking whenever the holders of black cat and ladybug cooperate and collide and whenever they achieve their mutual goal, they can partly use this power to fix the damage and perhaps "Miraculous Ladybug" can become a giant cat made out of ladybugs that runs around the city fixing everything and probably even multiplying (so it's not just a giant hive or crazy bugs but a terrifying yet cute kittens running around the city fixing everything). At first, I was kinda skeptical about your idea of deleting the restoration power because to be fair, as much as incompetent Hawk Moth is, even if both LB and CN actively trained with their powers to minimalize the damage, Paris wouldn't even survive two weeks considering how some villains can affect the entire planet if they wish so and even if we would also power-down the supervillains which would be kinda hard considering that when you have the power to give other people superpowers whatever they desire, sooner or later at least one of them will turn into a god that ruins everything and kills everyone in a process because they felt like it (unless you already have an idea how to decrease it). But even if the villains would be weaker, Paris would turn into one big wasteland sooner or later so without the guarantee of at least fixing the damage that normally would take months to repair and a lot of money to spend, everyone would decide to head out and since Hawk Moth would still need people to use and LB and CN would still need to actively chase him, I think it wouldn't end on Paris being destroyed. But giving both of them the power to fix the damage and neither can do it without the other brings importance to both of them and even the show states there are limits to how much LB can actually fix (death sometimes can be questionable on whether or not it can be fixed so at least there's always this thought that someone may die in an Akuma attack and magical ladybirds would be like "sorry, no can do") plus the fact that supposedly Marinette/LB needs to actively try to fix the problem she's struggling, even if she's not usually the only one to solve it or the main key to solving it and if she won't do anything to fix the source of the problem, magical ladybugs won't do anything. However, giving both Chat and LB power to repair makes it also difficult for both of them to fight on their own so they need to try harder whenever their partner is not available. I also do wonder at this point how their love story would actually go in your rewrite because at this point it looks like they would have a hard time getting on the same page, considering how in civilian life neither of them would exactly be interested in one another as Marinette's crush is only to keep up appearances and Chat Noir is now more of a bad boy that would drive away LB than he already is(I guess I need fanfiction to fix this problem ASAP). I also like your idea of giving Adrien a mini-arc though I also wish you would keep his cinnamon-roll side. Like he can be depressed and kinda edgy but still a sweetheart since this isn't really bad with his character, it's more of the fact of how bland he is when being a sweetheart. A question: are you planning to do rewrites for all the characters or only the most important ones and is Feix included or either him (and probably Zoe I guess) are written off? Like I actually find Felix compelling as a villain since he seems to be the most competent one despite appearing only in like 2 episodes and not doing much damage anyway, but still outclasses most of the other villains and if both Adrien and Felix would be kinda similar but had this difference of Felix probably attending public school from the get-go while still being a rich kid and hating his life and essentially being a total jerk, Adrien also being depressed but still sweetheart that never got outside and is living his best life as soon as the other classmates open up more to him. Would be a nice contrast and while Marinette and Lila sort of mirror each other, Felix and Adrien could. Though it's my ideas you don't need to listen to them just thought it would be interesting.

One of the things that bugged me about Gabriel Agreste is that at first when we figured out that he is Hawkmoth, Gabriel was even more worried about Adrien’s safety and was terrified of losing Adrien like he lost his wife if his son found out that he’s the villain… THAT IS UNTIL THROUGH SEASON 3-5 THAT GABRIEL WOULD BE MANIPULATIVE TO ADRIEN WHENEVER WE GET THOES COP OUT IDENTITY REVEALS!!!
I never noticed how Ladybug shouldn't be able to take out attacks like the ice cream globs with the logic of her powers... with everything else you said I literally can't believe they had the easiest way to utilise Chat's powers and chose not to do it.

Honestly I don't know why she is able to deacumatize when the butterfly miraculous was made to be a super power. It may just be that the miraculous adapts to the current situation but what's happening now makes me think. And I love how you drew him! He looks like he is the son of a famous designer and he is a model. The Chat noir suit is also amazing it separates him from his civilian look, and personality.
Can I also say I hate how Marinette’s friend group just treats him as candy for Marinette😭 Like the way they always try to get Adrien to date Marinette (as if he doesn’t have a say in the matter) makes me so annoyed😭😭
