Loved Rex Allen. He used to narrate movies for Walt Disney. They couldn't have picked a better voice. I met him once at a rodeo. Must have been 50 years ago. Gee how time flies.
Rex Allen is my favorite Cowboy singer. He almost had a Ooeratic Bass Baritone voice. Unique!!! I am a lyric Tenor. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XCe1We_CCnw.html
Colter Wall has a similar deep voice tone to Rex, check this one for example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qSYkikkitS0.html&ab_channel=Original16
Of the movie singing cowboys, I am 83 but I don't remember seeing any movies of Rex Allen. I did know his name, so maybe I've just forgotten. My first love was Gene Autry, then Roy Rogers. I never missed seeing many of their movies. Ahhh for those good decent movies and stars.

Why don't the people that are responsible give the date of the performance? I quite often am amazed that this is not done.. It is important for a few reasons. It damn sure was not 2017. Help a brother out. I am from Willcox by the way.
If I wanted to listen to a great singer, I would listen to Pavarotti. I dont. Very good voice, but not for me. I want something from the heart and songs of the common people. Roots and real.
