Loved this video. Last night I shaved with my Rex Ambassador razor and the Sea Spice Lime soap. I also have the sea spice lime aftershave and EDT. I agree with you, Seaforth makes great products.

Hi, Mark. FWIW, you're pronouncing the name wrong. It's not pronounced like "counsel," but just like how it's spelled: KON-suhl. It's a diplomatic title, just like ambassador. Thanks for the interesting review! That iced Seaforth soap sounds great!

Brian, thaks for the pronunciation. I thought I had that pronunciation. I guess I looked at the "SUL" and emphasized it more. I'll make sure to modify my pronunciation. Iced Seaforth is favorite.

That is an amazing razor. It's just not in my financial forecast. Matt should receive all our thanks for having his razors designed and manufactured in the USA. A rare thing indeed.

Morning Mark. I was at the Razor Emporium shop on Monday and told Matt how great the razor is. I just love this razor. Once you get use the loading the blade by pushing the blade onto the cap everything is simple. Easy to get a BBS shave. I can use any blade I choose. Great shave today, Mark. I am envious of your Seaforth shaving mug. The PAA Peregrino brush is one of my favorites. Have a nice day and be safe.

Great review, Mark! I got to beta test this razor. It is an engineering marvel and shaves like a dream. It blade neutral, which I really like. The Ambassador and Envoy were a little too blade forward for me. But, they changed the head geometry on this to make it neutral, but the slant adds the efficiency back in without the harshness of the blade feel. It is such a great razor! IMHO, Matt and the crew at Razor Emporium his this one out of the park! Always enjoy your videos and reviews!

Get the Konsul. You will not be disappointed. I have an Ambassador, then when the Konsul came out I got that. I Just got the Konsul XL a couple of weeks ago. For me the XL is easier for me to handle after my stroke. But for sure the Konsul head is my favorite. No blade feel unless you crank it up. Super smooth with my favorite blades- Voskhod, Perma Sharp, or Super Iridium. I use the settings during the shave: Face: 3-4 WTG 3 XTG 2 ATG 1 where the Goatee would be if I had one! Neck: 3 WTG 2 XTG 1 ATG

Hello Jimi, I am interested in buying the konsul but I doubt if I take the XL, I shave daily with a Rockwell 6s, and I have doubts if the standard will be too small for me. I am a person with a big hand, with Rockwell I manage well, but I have doubts. Do you think it's worth it? You have noticed the difference in length a lot. Thank you for everything

@@anerbeitia9778 I think you would be happy with either. But if you have big hands, then maybe the XL is for you. And you can always still use the XL as if the handle was shorter, it's not like you have to hold it at the end! 😊

It is funny because back in my daily cart use days, anything to speed up my shave was more than welcome. Today, wet shaving, I enjoy my 3 passes even if only 2 are needed. I do not want to cut any passes. Nice set up and gear.

Superb and robust review as always Mark. Rex Supply do indeed make some of the best DE Razors available on the market today. I have an Envoy and it is my favourite non adjustable - I'm not quite there yet but I will be buying a Konsul when I am in the position to do so 😊. I am a huge fan of Slants in general.

Hello Mark, thank you for the work you do, which is a great help. I'm going to buy this blade but I have a little doubt about whether to take the standard size or XL, I shave every day with a Rockwell 6s, the standard is a little smaller and I have doubts, with the Rockwell I fix myself well. Therefore, you think I could adapt well to it or maybe take the XL. Thank you very much for everything.

I've used the Envoy for over three years now and I'm very happy with it. If I'm going for BBS and I act a little careless, I might get a little minor irritation that'll settle in an hour or so. I had a mishap with it where it dropped in the sink and broke. Rex Supply Co repaired it and shipped it back. I was impressed with how they handled the whole thing, so even though I already have a razor that I'm happy with, I'll be buying either an Ambassador or a Konsul just in order to show my support. I haven't quite decided which yet. Great products and excellent service only survive if we support it by purchasing. Otherwise the guys who churn out cheap stuff that they don't stand over will win. Excellent video and has given me some stuff to think about

Awesome review Mark!!! I currently don’t own the Konsul but have borrowed a friend’s, and I’ll admit, it shaves beautifully. The setting I feel most comfortable is 3.5, and it takes down growth so easy! I’ve already hinted at my wife for an early Xmas present, hopefully she doesn’t notice!!!! Again great shave!

Absolutely splendid to have her perspective and how lady shavers approach, use, and embrace the traditional wet shave. Beth, I flt the same. but the slant really smooths out the approach. ike any razor the aggressiveness of the slant will depend on the blade gap. I've found that the Parker Semi-Slant has a bit more growl than the iKon X3 slant. You'd think that being called "Semi," it would be milder. Still both slants have a smoother approach for sure.

Wally,I have a 6S, but don'thave the 6C. Difficult to compare due to the different configurations. The Konsul being adjustable and a slant, and the 6C/6S being a plate swapping set up. but, having said this, the slant is a razor every wet shaver should experience. it really feels different and delivers an amazing shave. jut be careful when loading the blade.
