@@abysswalker2594 Currently the current known data of the Rex is that they survive to at least 28-30 years of age. However well they have found fossils approaching the age they never have found one that has shown signs of true elderly age. In other words dying of old age. We only have a estimate as they mature to reproductive age by 20. After that dead adult rex's appears to be in early to mid 20s and usually from physical damage or sickness but never one was found that we would consider to be Old Man Rex. Its probable that it could survive to the mid 30s or late maybe 40s but no longer than that due to the amount of punishment the body would have taken to hunting and challenges. With regard to Rexy. She isn't a true Rex. Being one of the first gens that was created with amphibian DNA and the Rex DNA. Added to anything she was given by humans during her time up to including medication, care, lack of challengers she is probably one of the healthiest rex's after Buck and Doe who are likely her genetic twins brother and sister unless they came from other Rex DNA. (Quite likely) Its possible Rexy could live well past her species original life span and well into her 40s or 50s perhaps 60s meaning the alterations and hybridization likely has turned a animal that lived fast and died young into a long lived predator who I might add is also almost as smart as the Raptors. What's really interesting is if this change is evident in all the Cloned Rex's we've seen so far. That they may all inherit this biological change that turned them from a brief nightmare (20-30 years is brief in the grand scheme of things) To a 40-60 plus nightmare that lingers. We do know of predators that have long lives. Humans (60-80 years with some individuals reaching the low 100s). Death usually comes from poor health, or frailty as the body reaches past 50. Current human life can be extended by medical treatments, good health and healthcare. Perhaps longer as cybernetic and alternate organ replacement appears. Scientist believes the human body and brain can at least for now theoretically survive to 150. Indeed the largest issue no longer seems to be the body but the brain. Although its believed current advances could see humans reach the 200 mark. Crocs and Gators 60-80s on average possibly older so long as the teeth hold out (Freshi being the extreme example of the age of 140) , Some sharks, (Whites average out at a good age of 70- 73) Not bad.. Greenland sharks trolls everyone even turtles by living several hundred years, Every seal speaks of legendary nightmare sleeper sharks that never age. The Orca.(60 to 80 with at least one known one Granny that reached 105) Granted I believe like humans once they reach around the 70s its likely getting assisted help by the pod. Still imagine a predator with the intelligence of a wolf or human giving advice during its later years to younger pod mates. The nightmare never ends. Now Imagine a Rex approaching the age of these predators long lived and has well honed its hunting skills with the intelligence of a wolf.

Yeah I mean maybe the sounds aren't, due to the fact that we don't know what they sounded like, so they had to use modern day animal sounds for the animal, but one scientist said it's the most accurate we've ever got. His way of explaining that makes sense. So I agree with you.

They did make the t rex accurate in the prologue making it feathery. But then again, bringing back creatures from the past who had been extinct for millions of years cannot ensure that they could make it accurate so rexy is still valid

@@oceanwhisperer you don't just add feathers to a dinosaur and then “BoOM, AcCUrATE!" Trex would have lost its feathers by the time it reached adulthood, also, the prologue rex still has pronated wrists and the head shape is the exact same as the one in Jurassic Park and world.

@@oceanwhisperer to elaborate, pronated wrists are wrists that face outwards, while the correct position for dinosaur arms are inwards toward the ribcage, as if they are clapping.

Paleontologists now suggest that T-rex was a lot smarter than we thought. Has the intelligence of a baboon, which can communicate, sympathize and learn/adapt. She probably took a bite out of one or two humans, realized that we do not taste good, and communicated that with others of her species. Hence, they probably usually don't attack people unless provoked. Heck, at this point, Rexy probably even recognizes Jeff Goldblum's character after deeming him not a threat many years ago.

Scientists who've checked 'bone growth rings' in fossils have found that large canosaurs like Giganoto/Carcharodonto/saurus got to about 50+ years of age before they died, while Tyrannosaurs (I'm not sure if they mean just the Rex or the whole extended family) seemed to never have gotten older than 25 years old, probably due to the rather high risk lives they led--especially males who needed to impress big alpha females with their status, by probably doing something really stupid.

I agree with you this T-Rex will always be my favorite of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies. Even though she has some scars on her she will always be a very good fighter and even though she might fight enemies that are bigger and more powerful than her she will always try your best to take them down and she might receive some help from dinosaurs or humans and beats her enemies she will always be the mightiest T-Rex of all and the queen of the dinosaurs.

And possibly the weakest too.

@spawnagain113 they confirmed it wasn't him. There were also some physical factors that didn't add up between the two, mainly coloration. So no, the sub-adult killed by the Spino wasn't the son.

@@25Erix the Spino killing the Rex in JP3 was such BS anyway. yes the Spino is technicly bigger but it's not as well built. even on screen it looks silly.

@@briandavion You can thank Jack Horner for that. He was never a Rex fan and believed size was everything. Never mind that a Rex skull was designed to crush bone while a Spino skull was evidence of its fish diet.

It's likely that Junior simply grew up and wandered off when he became old enough for independence. He might be in the enclosure, just not near his parents.

rexy is 34 years old and a trex can only live for 28 years. you better be greatful seeing her as shes old old now, so she is a powerful trex to stilling be fighting, its like taking a young man and a other young man, vs a grandmother that nearly died to a person in a fight with scars all of over her, who push the young man into a sword killing him, shes kinda of a giga chad fighting at age where she should be resting and getting easy kills

She’s probably way too old to reproduce to have a baby Plus the JP Rex’s mate for life, Rexy mating with the buck would either have to be by force (the dinosaur equivalent of Rape) or The Male leaves the Doe for Rex (the dinosaur equivalent having an affair) But either way the Doe would kill her and exile the Buck thus even if she ended up Gravid, the unborn babies would die alongside their mother Rexy would need to find another Male T.Rex if she wants a mate for reproduction, it’ll have to either be Junior (The Son of the buck & doe) if he’s in the Biosyn sanctuary or and this is my opinion a fully feathered T.Rex from the Cretaceous prologue that Biosyn clones

So finding Buck and Doe would be a long-lost family reunion if true.

She has a few lines of dialogue, she says "AAAAAARRRRGGHH!" and "GRUMMPH" and of course "BRAAAAAGH!!"

I wish that one of the key elements of Dominion was genetic memory. Rexy faces off the Giganotosaurus to avenger ancestor Maisie is kidnapped by Dodgson because in this version, Charlotte Lockwood was killed by Dodgson.

To be fair, she's old for a Rex (estimated 40 year lifespan on average in the wild). She wasn't so much downplayed as she was showing her age. She's not as spry as she used to be and her two real opponents (the Giga and the Indominus) were much younger than she was. Both also had a size advantage. Had she been younger, she probably wouldn't have too much trouble.

@@25Erix plus the Indominous was a freak of nature and a savage brute who killed for sport, and Rexy's 1st round with Indominous was merely a territorial dispute to her, but after getting back up for round 2, she knew it was a fight to the death since I think she was fueled by rage and adrenaline to eliminate her foe. She may be old, but a tough old fossil and will do whatever it takes to prove she's at the top of the food chain

agreed. there was SERIOUS push back when JP3 came out and they tried to turn the Spinosaurs into the new "Mascot" people LIKE the Rex. and frankly while there are bigger dinos, most aren't as well built as a rex.

Agreed Rexy has shown to be smart and also T Rex was one of the smartest dinosaurs to live so she saw the Giga was distracted and unprepared while noticing the Theri's claws' position so she had a plan of what to do to win

It didn't kill the I-Rex, it was helped by Blue and it was finished off by the Mosasaurus. I-Rex was about to give the killing blow to Rexy until Blue came back to help out. So if anything the legit kill goes to The Mosasaurus bc it jumped out of the water to eat the I-Rex. I-Rex would have won had Rexy and Blue not gotten I-Rex near the water

I don't want to see Rexy sacrifice herself. I want her to live out the rest of her life peacefully. She more than deserves it.

A younger, more powerful T. Rex as large or larger than Rexy needs to appear.

I really thought that in this film they would write out a perfect but sad, natural causes due to her age type send off. Her in the woods, laying a nest of some sort, drifting off, maybe Ellie and Zia helping with vitals of some sort, homage to the trike scene and of course Zia’s background as a paleovetrinrean (sp?) somber JP theme, sunset golden hour sun rays through forest tops. For me that would’ve been the most heartbreaking moment and true end of Jurassic Park/World saga. I’m happy that though the films have ended, we’re allowed to still have the fantasy of the world alive in us and that she is alive as we saw in the film. ….. also Colin first and foremost said that he would not kill her off. Even before production lmao

Characters that need more screen time are allosaurus carno and baryonyx

The Carno has had appearances in Camp Cretaceous and in Dominion. The Baryonyx also got appearances in Camp Cretaceous and Fallen Kingdom. And the Allosaurus was in Fallen Kingdom, Battle of big rock, and got mentioned by Ben in Season 3 episode 2 of Camp Cretaceous and I think it was in Dominion.

Correct, it was "Bull" who died or killed by the Spino in prime., but let's say for now that the Jr rex is going on a journey by itself. If ever we see that bad boi in a next JW movie, I'd be beyond hype if it also looked badass, I wonder how old is that rex now.
