You know Rey maybe a bit overpowered, it will never change the fact her life was very miserable like Anakin & Luke. She was all alone, had no one around, was treated like garbage, constantly in danger of losing people she accepted as family she never had, her own grandfather hates her. Then she lost her lover bc of losing her own life

This is the best Rey tribute I’ve ever seen. I’ve been working on a Rey tribute as well, but I don’t know if there’s any need to upload it. There is no way it could ever be as beautiful as this one. You have no idea how hard I am crying right now. I cried as I watched this masterpiece that is too good for RU-vid and as I’m typing this comment. Rey is such an underrated character. I’ve loved her since TFA, and her story is so sad, but so amazing. Everyone says Rey is a poorly written character, but I think she’s great. People who say that haven’t seen this beautiful tribute. As much of a Reylo as I am, I like how this video didn’t solely focus on Reylo. Just Rey. Nothing else. Not many people make edits showing her full story, and now that I truly see her full story, I don’t know how anyone could dislike her character. Almost every time I watch a scene from the sequels that talks about Rey’s heartbreaking situation with her parents, I can’t help but cry. She was alone in the beginning, but then she found Han, Luke, Leia, Finn, Poe, Ben, and most importantly... she found who she truly is. She considered herself no one for so long but she found her true self. That, to me, is the best part of her journey. You may say that all she has left is Finn and Poe because Han, Luke, Leia, and Ben are gone, but remember no one’s ever really gone. When she says “Be with me” when on Exegol and the Jedi such as Obi-Wan, Anakin, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon, etc. call out to her, that’s not all that is with her. The *FORCE* is with Rey... ALWAYS. In my opinion, Rey deserved to be a Jedi. She had what it takes, and she always will. If they don’t make a movie focusing on Rey and her story, I’m out. No one could have made a better Rey than Daisy Ridley. She was phenomenal! Thank you for this beautiful tribute, and I know that my comment will never be noticed by anyone, but I just had to get that off my chest. You have such great talent, and this tribute just got added to my playlist of my favorite Star Wars tributes. May the Force be with you... always.

I started tearing up within the first thirty seconds. I haven't watched many Rey tributes, but this is the strongest I've seen so far. It reaffirms everything I love about Rey and is really well put together. All those instances of Rey downplaying or even belittling herself are heartbreaking, and relatable for me. I really like that you layered the line from Luke's first lesson over Rey destroying the transport; there are some interesting parallels between the two films along those lines. And those action cuts toward the end are awesome. Beautiful job on this!

It's beautiful :') I was a bit disappointed by the last film, but this edit... Is just perfect ! She's such a good character, even though I would have liked to see her on the dark side... The most underrated and overhated character in the entire skywalker saga. She was great in 7 and 8 but 9 felt like pandering to the idiots who didn't like the first 2 and resulted in a mess of a movie and undoing of her character. Still after kylo ren of course she was the best part of the sequels. Daisy deserves more credit for her role

For anyone who thinks Rey is ‘overpowered’, read or listen to the Rise of Skywalker novelization. It explains a lot. Rey is not overpowered. She simply uses the Force in ways that are difficult to show on-screen. The rule of movies and scriptwriting is ‘show, don’t tell’, and a lot of the things that go on in her mind while using the Force can’t really be conveyed to the audience without a constant inner monologue, something that isn’t appealing to most movie-goers. The Force elements are so complex and specific that even the best actors would not be able to convey them in a way that makes sense to everyone simply with facial expressions or body movements. The other part of this that people need to consider is that the Jedi of later generations are naturally going to surpass their predecessors in terms of power, skill, and range. Like Yoda says to Luke, “We are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all Masters.” It’s simply expected that the next generation of Jedi displays more power or skill than the one that came before. Rey is also the only Jedi left, so all the focus is on her. I expect the next generation that she teaches will surpass her as well.
