Joy as two rescued lions are reunited. Rescued from a circus in Peru and taken to the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa, the two 15-year old lions had never been apart. Even when they travelled to Africa the boy’s crates were side by side. Then Rey got sick and was taken into hospital. After two weeks he returned to the sanctuary after successful treatment. He arrived at night and the two lions went quietly to sleep, but as the sun came up, their joy at being together again was clear to see - Simba, despite his hind legs distorted by arthritis after circus life, was skipping!
