In this video I review the Vosteed X Reylight Rook Titanium EDC everyday carry flashlight. I go over its size and shape. I talk about its exceptional performance due to its massive floor, decent distance. I praise its power and its beautiful temperature of Kelvin and rosy tint of its 3 Nichia 519a emitters. I go in depth about it’s user interface and the lighting modes. I talk about how the light carries in the pocket and its ergonomics while using. Also the premium feel and weight that comes along with have a Titanium flashlight.
This light overall is a massive home run and my favorite EDC light I have owned and used slo far.

I'm with you on this one ! Got one as well, beadblasted, and man, yeah, for the price it's an awesome edc light. Rey makes really great flashlights for not a lot of money. P.s. After you talked about the scratches, that's why i bought the beadblast one haha scratches pisses me off and raw titanium picks up scrayches really easily.

Laulimas are worth the money, BUT this is really just as good if you don't care to have a super duper one-off light... I have $3000 in Laulimas lol I would sign off on ANY of Reys lights any day but the real sweet spot is the Lanapple series. These fat 18350 lights are a step back IMO since theyre more of a chore to carry every single day if your life depended on it

Maybe a little brother cr123 version. I've been seriously considering the rookie, have 7 reys currantly and was looking for something with a little more staying power. My dawn is a little to big for edc and I find myself charging my ti lan or pinapple too often. But it needs to be edc able.

Are you going to put tritium on the tail cap and the four spots on the side of the tail cap???? It definitely looks like a amazing looking piece!!!!

Hi I’m new to these level of flashlights what type of battery do you recommend. Great video !

Well each type of light uses different types of batteries. This light uses a 18350. 18 being the diameter, 350 being the length. There are also lights that use a 18650 for example. So same diameter, but a longer length. Also some lights use a 14500. So smaller diameter, but slightly longer then the 18350. And 14500 is a spicy 3.7 volt AA for example. So in short, a 14500 light is going to me a smaller diameter in the pocket usually. While an 18(…) diameter light will in most cases be more noticeable in the pocket than a 14(…) diameter light. But bigger diameter batteries can usually put out higher outputs and keep more energy in their batteries for extended periods of use.

Reylight makes a 18350 battery, so I would recommend these off their site.

Have you compared the Rook-Ti to the Triple Dawn-Ti (comes in combo configuration for 18350 or 18650 but is +$20)? Appreciate your videos!

I really want to like this light. The overall design is great. The so called clicky switch is something that I don't really have any words for....It's like getting something out of a cereal box. If they would at the very least get a McClicky switch installed instead of what they currently use. I can literally shake the light and it will cycle through the brightness levels by the back and forth movement. I am currently waiting on a forward McClicky switch to try to fit in the light....

I would definitely say that one as an issue and you might want to contact Rey on Instagram. I can shake mine so hard that my wrist starts to pop, and it will not change the mode.
