I had the Rezum procedure several months ago, I got Nitrous Oxide and the pain was very minimal. The procedure only takes about 15 minutes, It takes three or four months to get the full benefit, but the results are excellent, I highly recommend the Rezum procedure.
I had this done by a Urologist in Mobile, AL. The procedure did not alleviate my problem and the procedure was not as pain free as marketed. Be careful what you believe about this. Perhaps if your flow is only impeded by the urethra... For me, the issue as shown by a recent scope is where urethra and bladder meet. If you elect to do this, ensure that your Dr. perform a scope assessment of your problem. I'm kicking myself for believing all this marketing and will now have a TURP. So sorry for having gone through this and put off addressing my issues for 2 years.
I can vouch for the marketing hype.Just went through a very painful procedure and the Resum business is discrediting the procedure by not disclosing how painful it is. Try to imagine a 14” probe being inserted into your penis and a heated water vapor gas burning your insides. For me it was “ nada mas” off the table and then you have to where a catheter for 5 days….More pain…shitz!
I had the same experience with the Urolift procedure. It was not very effective and cost me a lot of money. I am 18 months post procedure and am researching what my next step should be
Thank you so much for explaining the Rezum… Can’t wait until it’s more widely available & maybe the costs may go down to afford it… I think the NHS should push this so they can save millions on medication 💊 Just saying 👍
I had also the Resume procedure 3weeks ago in Istanbul Turkey. I am 64 yrs old. It was like a joke. I ask My Doctor. Do I really had an operation bc..No pain no indication of any obstacles of surgery. I guess did right decision to have this one in Ist/Turkey instead of In Florida US which is I live. My advice in Resume operation or any operation.. Make sure you are not tired and in good health.
I understand this is not for all prostates, I'd like to know who is a good candidate for REZUM and what are the worse case scenarios in case the REZUM isn't successful. Can things get worse over time? if this is a safe procedure, I'd like to know more about the risks, and what happened to the 5% of people whose treatement wasn't successful, and why. Thank you!
What are the consequences of sex too soon following the procedure/catheter removal, can this cause the urethra to swell because of it being compromised and block urine flow and lead to slower clearing of blood from the urine over the long term.
I had rezum procedure done 2 years ago the worst decision I ever made.. it gave me retrograde ejaculation and narrowed my bladder neck i had to have bladder neck incision surgery the worst pain i ever felt... i ruined my life with this procedure.. good luck....
