I'll never forget his rookie year. For one whole season he lit the NFL on fire then that nasty injury happened, and I'll never forget that playoff game either. Was never a fan of his but always hoped he'd return to form.
2012 RG III is one of the greatest QBs I've ever seen. Shorty took a subpar offensive unit, and made them elite (they were averaging over 30 ppg for most of that season). Was able to uplift an entire franchise, and give them hope that they were in good hands. And that's what Elite QBs do. They're able to galvanize a franchise, and give them hope week in, and week out, that he'll find a way to put them in position to win. Man if that Haloti Ngata hit never happened, and the subsequent bad handling that happened after the injury. We'll never truly know how great this brotha could've been. Though your greatness was short, you deserve to get the credit for how great you were God. Salute brotha Robert.
VW DT I hate ur pic Colin caepernick is a man you should not be idolizing. He ruined the way people look at the National anthem. People used to look at the flag and hold there heart, now they look whose kneeling. His “protesting” changed everything he’s disrespecting all the people that have died or served to make this country great
@Deus Vult Not just that, there are like numerous reports RG3 was sort of hard to work with. Sure he's a great player, but not being a great person means almost just as much. Santana Moss said that his relationship with coaches was his downfall, and I believe him. Moss wasn't one of the wideouts you see today where it's all about the media, HE was a good guy. I don't think RG3 was an awful character but I just feel he wasn't a good one. All in all, it's a shitty situation for everyone involved and being a Redskins fan, it's bittersweet reliving our last great moments.... especially after the world lost Sean Taylor.
Best szn ever in football- best Super bowl ever , rookie rg3, prime Michael Vick, joe flacos incredible play off run, Adrian Peterson best season, most fun thanksgiving games,
This man could have been great and he still can be. Just give this man a chance. He is more mature now, well rested, injury free and has his confidence back. He is more humble
RG3 is one of most gifted QBs in the league right now. Yes, right now - even though he's sidelined. He's just a victim of a bad management. And it has to be really bad to bring down a great talent like RG3. If they could just let him unleash his unbelievable, God given talents, he could easily destroy the seahawks, patriots, colts, broncos, any team in the nfl on any given sunday. Pound for pound, he's a better athlete than Brady, Manning or Luck. And he's the most exciting player to watch when he's on game. Damn management at Wash. Provide him the support or let him go. Would love to see him play for my Raiders. Here's to dreaming...
If RG3 didn't get injured he would have been an elite QB in the league right now. He's dealing with multiple leg injuries. Its hard to come back from an ACL tear. Look at Marcus Lattimore after 2 years on the bench after his injury in san francisco he finally gave up.
Man I feel for the guy... I'm rooting for him to make a comeback... His injuries have hit him hard physically and even more so mentally. I hope he gets through this.
The two are really not that comparable. Fprgot what a talent rg3 was. Lance is more similar to Josh Allen just skinnier. Allen stronger arm Lance a little more speed. I think we will find tht Lance is a little overrated as a runner considering the competition he played against in college. I think Fields and Lawrence are both better runners than Lance at the nfl level. Lance has some major arm talent and that is what can make him special more so that his runner ability which is nothing to scoff at.
Great rookie season, wow he is fun to watch. I also believe he had a perfect passer rating in a game against the Eagles. He ranks up there with some really big names for that. Hope things work out for him in Cleveland. Good luck rg3
Watching this a Skins fan and RGIII fan and just heard RGIII got signed by Baltimore Ravens today Boy dont hurt him hammer (rgii)👍 RGIII is back!!!!!!!
RGKnee never should have suited up against the LOB that fateful playoff game. That was the game he never recovered from. The LOB took Kaep and RG3 out the league lol
Griffin is our man and he was amazing at Baylor. Let him loose at let him play the game like he did at Baylor and his first year here. Use his running ability safely to create openings in the passing game. RG3 plays scared now because of his past injuries and because of pressure from the team and fans that he may get re-injured. Let him play with his passion like he used to. Its worth failing giving it all you got rather than playing scared and losing your job becuse you couldn't produce because you were forced to limit your talent. HTTR!!!
That deep ball against Philly was like 61 yards and he made it look effortless and then the jump ball was like 62-63 yards and it was mostly arm.. unbelievable
Well, seeing how he's the last Ravens QB standing due to COVID, I hope and pray this is the RGIII we see against the Steelers. We need a miracle right now lol
Let GM Scot Mcloughan build that O Line and that defense. RG3 will tear defenses apart again. Any QB who gets blasted in the backfield due to bad O-line play will struggle. Learning a new system behind a bad o-line is very difficult.
Best place for him right now is with the jets if a scrub like Fitzpatrick looked good in this offense. Imagine RG3 with forte Marshall and Decker, in the draft they will draft oline to protect him. A good place to resurrect his career.
If RG3 wasnt drafted to Washington I think his career would have been completely different. He did pretty good considering the head coach didnt want him and forced QB power runs every 2 sec
New Redskins Offense in 2015 WR Pierre Garcon QB Robert Griffin III RB Alfred Morris FB Darrell Young WR Pierre Garcon TE Jordan Reed LT Trent Williams RG Mike Iupati FA from SF C A.Q Shipley FA from IND LG Clint Boling FA from CIN RT Morgan Moses - GM did say we will develop our own players, cant give up on Moses so quickly TE Jermaine Gresham FA from CIN WR Desean Jackson
+Felipe Diaz Hope not. RG3 ran a gimmick offense (the Pistol) his rookie year. It was effective at first bc teams hadn't seen it yet at the NFL level. Once they had time to really game-plan for it, it became a lot less effective. After RG3 came back from his ACL injury, the Skins had changed the offense to a more prototypical offense that required him to consistently make plays form the pocket, and RG3 wasn't able to adjust. He needs to able to run to be effective. He's not a legitimate NFL pocket-passing QB. I hope the Cowboys stay far away from him AND Johnny Manziel and draft a QB instead.
wish the best for him, its a long shot but he would be a good back up for dallas that said i still think he deserves a chance for starting qb somewhere.
wouldn’t call him drose if nfl more like b roy bc d rose touched the top he was best amongst his peers RG3 just had a promising ceiling never exceeded after that one year. Russ wilson practically did the same thing as rg3 for his team
