He only went into the basic presets that you can do, in advanced mode there are a lot of options for effects. If you mean the brightness then yea, razer is better in that sense
Yo frank You forgot to mention that the Corsair one is also a audio dack that allows 3.5mm to be in a virtual surround mode that’s a pretty big feature you seemed to have missed which adds to its cost.
Gesus christ, if you're going to make a video like this at least inform yourself better, one of the most important features on the st 100 is that the heaphone jack can enable 7.1 surround sound on every headset and many people have said that it sounds better than their sound card.
It's like every RandomFrankP video. "Let's make a video on this product that I did no research on and try and make that RU-vid money!" Like, when comparing USB ports, he didn't mention that Razer is 3.0 and Corsair is 3.1. That makes a big difference if you want to use the stand as a hub, since one will have faster pass-thru speeds for USB drives, etc. The DAC on the ST100 is really nice. Not an amp, but it works well with my 65 OHM HyperX Cloud Alphas.
If we are going for looks i think razer takes it with the brighter lights. Besides, it’s a headset stand, the only thing that really matters is the lights on them both because they are just for looks and to hold your headset.
@@christiannoname9425 The build quality on Corsair is simply superior and therefore looks better, I the lights still function on the corsair is to a satisfactory degree, I will admit the razer headset stand does look more complex, and therefore could be seen as "better" but the material is much weaker and less quality as well as Razers RGB (IMO) tends to be a little too intense. But I do see your point, it comes down to whether you prefer Lighting or Overall quality
i think corsair spent more time with the quality of the stand and not the rgb, while razor didnt really care about the stand and wanted to give people more rgb instead of a quality stand. either one is still fine but if you have other rgb like the headset, mouse, mouse pad having a bit less rgb in the corsair isnt too bad.
Forgot to mention Razer has 3 NORMAL usb ports. And Corsair has 2 USB 3.0 slots. And that headphone jack on the stand turns ANY pair of headphones into 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound... Which is better than a normal headphone jack. And 3.0 is significantly better than a normal usb stand.
Idk about you but I prefer the LED's on the corsair one, it looks so much better quality, it has 7.1 channel surround sound in the aux port and the Corsair one has usb 3.1 and im hapy that the corsair one doesnt make you buy a corsair headset for surround sound as you just plug it into the headset stand and it gives whatever headset you plug in Virutal 7.1.

the audio visualization is also extended to the base station also. this is my set up. razer huntsmen elite. razer naga chroma. razer firefly. razer goliathus extended chroma. razer nomma chromma. and the base station, and honestly when you have the visualizer enabled. it is quite the light show.
Man I got the razer headset stand cuz of rgb then I realized that I wanted a Corsair case for my build now I’m just glad I know I want Corsair before it was something major not just a headset stand
Tom Brown I think exactly the same, but in reverse. I prefer the Razer one because it has a more "gamer" design than the (imo) boring Corsair one. Also the RGB is better on it, the lights are stronger and there are way more lighting zones on the bottom. But that's just my opinion. Obviously they are both useless and only for people with a lot of money. That's not me.
I used to have the Razer stand and after about 8-9 months it stopped working. The lights would still light up, but anything I plugged into the USB ports wouldn't be recognized by my computer. I switched to the Corsair stand and the quality is just so much better. The lights may not be as bright, but the functionality is more important to me.
That's Razer for you lol. I have been using their peripherals for 7-8 years now and I've grown to hate them over time. Build quality is mediocre at best for the price and functionality is so hit or miss. As an example - I bought a new headset from them that has THX settings. I had messed around with the settings so many times to try to get them to work well but no matter what, I could never hear *anything* from behind me. It's like it was a dead zone. And on top of that, I couldn't tell the difference when it came to spacial awareness between the new headset and my old one which didn't have THX. I had gone through the settings a dozen of times to make sure I had it set up correctly (I did) and nothing worked. Then about 7 months later, the headset was working perfectly. I hadn't changed any of the settings or anything. No update etc. Just randomly decided to work. And now I've switched to a new PC and have the same issues I had before when I first got it 😂 I'm planning on building a custom keyboard and moving to a new headset. F Razer
@thejesteress130 I have one PC with all Razer and one with all Corsair. Corsair absolutely has better build quality and iCue now that it's been updated quite a bit, has a lot of customizable options and great macro abilities for the KB and mouse. Razer is overpriced for the quality and features. I can't imagine their laptops are much better...
Yeah they're good at making one decent product and that's keyboards. Anything else like mice etc are complete shit. Had a mamba for a few months and after a month started having sensor problems etc. After that I said not again and now I'm using almost all steelseries items.

I_NEED_JUICE dude when I first got a mouse I saw the razor death adder looked at reviews and they said that they had issues with double clicking I was like "they don't take care of there stuff" year later it started and before you say I don't take care of my stuff I have ocd man so trust me that's not it. I have m65 PRO and the Deathadder elite and the Corsair is made a MILLION times better! The Corsair mouse is built like a fucking tank and virtually indestructible, while my DeathAdder does feel more comfortable for long sessions, it is extremely cheap, light, and "rattly" feeling when compared to the Corsair mouse! The M65 PRO is by far the best most sturdy mouse I have ever owned or felt! Also the LEDs are far superior on Corsair mice!
Yeah, but when it comes to THIS product, the Corsair one is way better quality. We're talking aircraft grade aluminum vs. a couple of pieces of plastic that snap together.

I have a question if you get the Corsair then with the headphone jack on the side if you plug it into your pc do you still have to plug ur headphone into the pc with a Y splitter to use the mic or can you just plug it into the headphone stand with the one jack?

Ye true.i have my corsair stand.i actualy prefer less bright rgb. But that feature is mostly useless but stilll a feature and nice. I say this because if u spend 60 on a stand ur headphones usualy have 7.1
Thanks for the review, appreciated. But ... you missed the most important fact of the Corsair stand that make it unique. The Corsair headset stand... STANDS out from the Razor, because it Enables 7.1 sound software, in ANY, I mean, any brand of headsets ! and that's an outstanding and cool feature from CORSAIR. With this, Corsair, just Beat the competition, thinking ahead and providing something as a 7.1 software available to everyone that posses a normal pair of headsets and the USB ports are 3.0 no 2.0 as the Razor. So for this, RGB lights are not the most important feature that can be ahead of this products. So Corsair is the way to go, but it all depends of your needs as well. Period Regards p.s. Pls. inform, document yourself better about the products you are going to be reviewing and use them at least for a week ! if you are going to continue making reviews.

Razer is just hungry for money and doesn’t care about quality. Why is it $60 but made of plastic? Wtf. At least Corsairs is made of aluminium, even the Blackwidow V2 is made of plastic but the K95 plat is made of aluminium. Corsair > Razer
Actually plastic is better for the keyboards, because metal gets hot and will start to hurt your hand after a while. Plastic does not do that. Also the blackwidow chroma v2 gives you a cool wrist rest and a keychain, but Corsair does not do anything like that.
KarmaFull as a corsair keyboard user, no, it doesn't get warm since you're not really touching the metal. Also corsair gives you cherry switches and different ones at that. Corsair makes quality stuff, can't say the same about razer

They're not produced by kaihl for more than a year now. Also, if you were actually caring about mechanical keyboards instead of just trusting without any doubt what all generic tech youtubers say, you would know that some mehcanical switch brands considered as cheap, such as Gateron, and also Kailh on some of non knocked off switches, are way better (and smoother) than Cherry MXs. Cherry build quality was significantly falling down since two years ago, I'd say, so as for Corsair, stop thinking that's it's the best thing ever just because it's better marketed, or as for Corsair, *looks* a bit more premium. edit : when I was saying "they're not produced by cherry", I ment kaihl obviously.
You don't need to plug it in but if you do you get ability to customize the RGB lighting around it and get to use a plug in for Wireless headphones giving sorround sound.
You didn’t properly display the razer spectrum wave. It doesn’t have all that white when you use the default wave setting resulting in much richer colors. You used the custom set wave. And you should mention to the people the 3.5mm jack on the Corsair version is a 7.1 surround jack
You didn't mention that the Corsair one have an integrated sound card and can even make normal headphones to 7.1 surround.. in general the Corsair is way better than the Razer and yes the RGB is not a s bright but in real life the Corsair RGB is better looking, and when you have you whole set up RGB you don't want everything to be bright, because it is too much strain for the eyes.
I have had both. First being the Razor, then the Corsair ST100, which is my current. The Corsair build quality is far better than the Razor, and better looking in my opinion. Simplistic, yet sleek. Razor Pros-- -3x USB 3.0 Ports -Brighter RGB Lighting Razor Cons-- -Plastic -Base for setting headset is not the most ideal and can leave indentations on a padded head rest -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Corsair Pros-- -Aluminum -Very Sturdy -RGB Logo (A Pro in my opinion) -3.5mm headphone Jack -Built in Sound Card -Solid base for setting a padded head set on Corsair Cons -2 USB 3.0 ports, compared to Razors 3 -RGB Lighting not as bright (This is subjective to the buyer, I personal prefer the dimmer RGB Lighting) In my opinion, the dimmer RGB lighting is better, Not as distracting. Now Yes, you can turn down the intensity of it. The Corsair, being made of Full Aluminum, makes it feel solid. The flat base for resting your headset on is also nice. In my opinion, the Corsair is the clear winner, but others will prefer the Razor. I also made the complete switch from full Razor to Full Corsair, and couldn't be happier. The build quality of Corsair just is better in my opinion.

I play wow so I user to have the naga.1 year in the scroll wheel stoped working.1 year în the rubber coating was gone.the mouse looked like it was 20 years old.2.5 years in it just stopped working. Had corsair equvalent.2 years in it looks and plays as brand new.insane quality compared to naga. Got the rgb mouse pad.i know,its a mouse pad but damn that shit looks cool as fuck.also rly bright rgb on it.and the surface is just perfect. 2 days ago I got the stand.truly wothed.amazing build quality.if u add up the cost of extra usb and headphones stand its rly no big deal.i got a refurbished one for 30 usd and its worthed. Also if I have full rbg,the dim Light are actualy ok. It looks and feels superior to whatever plastic shit razor might give.
i like the Corsair's RGB light more than razers on this Headset Stand. Corsairs just looks so smooth, if you want a bright one then i'd go for razer tho
It will charge as long as your PC is on, Now what I do is plug my wireless headphones separately using a Charging Block with @ least 30W for a quicker charge or leave it overnight charging if you have a regular 5W-12W Block.
I DON'T KNOW WICH ONE TO CHOOSE! Plus I can't choose between the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 Tournament Edition or or some corsair keyboard like the Corsair K70 Rapidfire
You have to have it connected to your PC and use the software, plus remember the stand becomes the Host plugged to the PC in order for you to the USB 3.0 or Headphone Jack.
