I got a 3-pack at Costco for $30. The colours at full saturation aren't bright at all; however, put 3 bulbs together and they definitely fill my bedroom with coloured light. They work great with Google Assistant.

Globe is working on a 2020 set of bulbs with better output intensity while using their RGB function. Once they are available, I will be comparing the two models. Good to hear as a grouping they fill the room!

These are standard, or E26 is stem terms. Most lighting equipment will specify what type of base will work inside the fixture.

Purchased two globe suite light bulbs and set it up with my google mini. I love the bulbs 💡Don’t mind that they’re not bright my eyes are sensitive to bright lights. I only use my lamp for everything anyways, not the main light. But I’m going to set it up as my main light in my bedroom. Thanks for the info. Never knew that they were the cheapest in price in comparison to the other LED light bulbs 💡

I bought 9 and had 3 fail within 3 months. After the first 2 failed I contacted the company and they shipped me 4. I guess I am up 1 bulb at this point but I am worried about the longevity of the bulbs. The brightness and colors are good when they work.

Wow, that sucks to hear that you had a bad experience, but it sounds like they pulled through pretty well on a resolution. Both my bulbs are still running strong with no concerns for the moment.

It is best to just start off with a good quality more expensive hub system buying just one or two bulbs and adding more over time. For non hub bulbs each bulb is classed as a device on your router, that is just asking for trouble in many different ways. With a hub system you can have as many bulbs as you want and will only be classed as 1 device on your router.

Thankfully I have not run into any issues using only Wi-Fi based bulbs in my house. I currently have 3 Globe bulbs, 4 Nooie bulbs, 1 Yeelight bulb, 2 Blitzwolf strips, and a studio flood light. I like the Wi-Fi bulbs because I find it easier and cheaper to integrate them into my home for my family members. No issues yet; however, I am going to research the potential issues it could cause if I continue to scale. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Most "smart bulbs" are either WiFi or Bluetooth these days. I would maybe check Aliexpress, Amazon, or other online resellers for an RF version of an RGB bulb.

Did you get these at Canadian Tire? They sell a lot of these. When I was switching over from incandescent to non-smart LEDs, I bought several Globe bulbs. After about 3 years, they all started to fade and fail. They are rated 10-20,000 hrs cant remember exactly . All were in the basement and I only go down there to do laundry. They were still worth it for the savings on the electric bill but just be aware that the Globe bulbs won't have a long life even compared to similar priced bulbs.

I bought these and the Govee brand as well for the same price. Govee lights are brighter. Globe electric color is dim, they are going back. Globe Electric does have a better app though.

I have not actually. All of my lamp/light shades are either heavily frosted or completely solid, so I have not had a requirement personally for the decorative look of a filament edison bulb.

Honestly I find there isn’t much info on any of the Globe smart products, and other than there website I’ve only really seen them in Canada at Canadian Tire and The Source, so maybe they just lack market exposure. I have used their smart plugs, flood sensor, RGB light, and motion sensor and they’ve all been great!

The S8 remains still one of the most memorable phones I've owned. I bounce between my S10+, P30 Pro, and Pixel 3XL now; however, mainly use the S10+ thanks to the convenience of Samsung Pay. Pixel 3XL and P30 Pro are my side phones to photos and video thanks to their better handling of colors.

I don't believe so. Most music bulbs have a built in mic or Bluetooth for sound sync. There may be a third party app that will do it over wifi similar to those for Philips Hue, but I'm unsure if it will work outside of that platform.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If that doesn't work then maybe try another app like Smart Life. If you have multiple IoT apps installed on your device they can cause connectivity conflicts since most are the same API with different branded skins.

Any existing fixture with constant on/off power will work. They are just not dimmer switch friendly unless the dimmer is left at 100% power

Yes it is. Warm and cool white get nice and bright at max output, buy also have the option to decrease the brightness based on your desired brightness and color.

@@paigedearing1308 rapidly unplug and plug in or turn off and on the light 5 times until it flashes. While flashing, open the smart life application and search for light bulbs. If you cannot automatically find the light, make sure you're connected to your 2.4ghz wifi on the setup device as the bulbs so not recognize 5ghz signals. If that fails they may be defective. Only other thing I may try is to set them up on another device

As a dash of ambient color they're great, but if your looking to add one bulb into a ceiling fixture and fill the room, I don't think it'll be bright enough unless you put it onto a cool solid tone and not an RGB color

I have a cheaper soft box light system for video use. Each one uses 4 bulbs. I go a decent set I use for small jobs, but thinking if I got 8 (4 each) of these bulbs, would they be bright enough to be useful for the $100 I'd pay for it? But if 4 of them going though a soft box, would it cast enough light or should I look for something more professional?

I would say yes, especially in a softbox with a reflective inner surface, the lumens would essentially multiply and spit out a very bright light thru the softbox. I use 5 bulb softboxes for video work and each bulb by itself aren't too bright, but 5 together is almost blinding lol

these bulbs are the worst things I have ever bought. It took me an hour to get the verification code and now trying to pair them was unsucessful. Very dull light but they are saying you need 2 ghzwith your wifi. A real pain. they are going back tomorrow

Most IoT products run solely on 2.4ghz since 5ghz is faster with a smaller range and speed is not a requirement for simple IoT commands. 2.4ghz is also more of a universal standard than 5ghz. Sorry to hear that they're operating so poorly for you. I hadn't experiences any of the issues you mentioned. Maybe just a bad bulb.

I bought one for my brother when I made him an indoor herb garden as supplemental lighting. They seem reliable and are solidly built. They are not super bright but they are on par with other LEDs bulbs in the 8-9 watt range. The white color has a slight greenish tinge and is a bit dull any other colour including the other "whites" are dimmer than this greenish "neutral white" but they blow the colours that come off the bulb in this video clear out of the water. As an accent light or mood lighting (for the price) 8/10 and as a room light 6/10. You could use it for room lighting but it's mediocre at doing that at best.

Funny. I think hue colour bulbs are on the dim side for their price point! Globe ones seam to be working great with just the warm to blue lights. Would love to try these ones when available in Canada. LED brightness seams to be an issue for most of these bulbs ATM.

That’s an unfortunate side effect of most modern/affordable bulbs I’ve tested. You can bring the saturation down to brighten them up

Check around. In my local markets in Canada these usually go for $15 for a single bulb or $25-29 for a 3 pack.
