I expected far more from you. As myself I am obsessed with Brucelee from the day you introduced him in a different angle. Watched all his philosophical vedios.keep tweeting about the unearthed things by the media about him.
Bruce Lee is admired or liked by many because of this immense talent/his physique/his own different style or whatever the technical thing it could be. And also because he could use a medium called "Cinema" to showcase his expertise, may be some hundreds of extremely trained martial artists are even better than Bruce Lee in the same art. May be because he's been visible to us physically through a medium as commercial and attractive than any other called "Cinema", are we imagining him to be the greatest of all of all time? Is the medium cinema influenced us to believe his greatness or is he the greatest of all time? I need a sensible answer and please correct me if I'm wrong in any sense.
Siddhartha kousik your perceptions are not wrong but he stands out in philosophy which no one can say easy. There is a saying "Great things happen, you can't make them happen ". Similar is Brucelee. I never saw Jackie Chan's philosophy or a separate mixed art introduced by him.
+junnu ravi kumar I get it. Thanks. I understand the fact that Bruce Lee showcased a philosophy through his art. But the point with Jackie Chan is something we shouldnt take on a lighter note. Actually he was partly inspired by bruce lee and adopted a style that is more entertaining and comic in some sense. You never see a martial artist showing his pain by rubbing his hand after a punch line Jackie. He introduced that new form of entertainment where his speed, stunts with loads of risk and fights with a tinge of comic touch made him popular. That's my observation. Thanks.
