I just did the install on this for my ‘11 Sahara Unlimited and have to say a big thanks for your excellent installation video. It made life a lot easier, especially the tip for siding the bolts in the front engine mount brackets! Thank You!!!
I have been in the market to get skid plates for my JK for the last few weeks this video helped me make my decision. This is by far the best skids I have seen so far for ease of installation, fitment and the amount of undercarriage they actually protect and cover. Thank you for publishing this video Makes a huge difference in sales
Dude! Thorough and professional install video. I'm shopping for skid plates for my 2013 JKUR and I really appreciate the effort put into your video! Well done and helpful!
AWESOME install vid. I wish all companies did something this thorough. This was super helpful. Great extra info on axles, the shim, and engine swap fitment. I'll be back for the fuel skid.
Along with many others, I will also say that this video helped me make my decision as to which company to chose when purchasing my skid plates. Well done gentlemen.
2014 JKUR. I installed a full set today, including the evap canister skid. I have exhaust spacers so needed to use the spacer included in the kit to run over the cross member. Installation was really easy. (Im not a mechanic or anything.) It all lined up perfectly. Until you actually see or feel one of these sliders you can't get an appreciation of how heavy duty they are. It made my stock gas tank skid look comical. If you play on rocks this is an investment you HAVE to make. Install time was a little over 2 hours. That was going slow and watching this video as I went.
I didn't see the part where you tighten the bolts at the engine mounts. Do you tighten these fully before or after the skid is fully in place? I ask because the area where these bolts are is really tricky/awkward to get the wrenches and your arms/hands into. Do you have advice on how to get the engine mount bolts properly tightened? How do you guys do it? Thanks.
