Alex has warned in various interviews that, contrary to a persistent rumor, this album is not the last in the Nephilim saga. Isn’t the true hero the one who triumphs over the evil within himself? Is there any struggle more valiant, more enduring, more glorious than this one? I’m already curious about how the rest of this saga will turn out!

@@_KamijouTouma Some weeks ago, I saw a video interview with Alex Staropoli in which he explained that the information that the saga would end with Challenge the Wind was wrong and that Kreel’s adventures would continue for one or two more albums. Before the album's release, I analyzed all the lyrics on this album, and I found it strange that these lyrics didn't mention the battle between Kreel and Bezrael, or much less what the end of Bezrael and the Nephilim was. I confess that I found it strange that Rhapsody would only make a trilogy, breaking its tradition of making an entire saga divided into five albums. But when I re-analyzed the lyrics again, "Holy Downfall" and "Mastered by the Dark", looking at it the other way, seemed to me to be the end of Bezrael, like "Holy Downfall" being the battle of Kreel (alongside Terial ) against Bezrael, and "Mastered by the Dark" as being his end, especially in the penultimate line of the last chorus: _Your body's turned, your eyes on fire,_ kind of implying that Kreel and Terial fatally struck him. Thank you for answering me, and I will be watching that interview now.

Rhapsody of Fire has been bringing HUGE EPIC FANTASY tales to life through their fantastically epic musical compositions. We've been banging out heads and belting out the songs for nearly 30 years now. This new album continues that incredible tradition in typical amazing fashion. Now that the new album is FINALLY out, we can get the overall storyline and get a better sense of the larger epic scope of their adventures. Your D&D campaign just got yet another awesome background soundtrack! Giacomo is really on fire singing this one out!

Good question. I'm starting to think that their musically creativity is ending... The Eighth Mountain was f***ing amazing! But in Glory for Salvation, they lose their hands in the end, putting two different versions of Magic Signs, letting the album very boring in the end (and they still considered these versions as part of the album even though they were bonus tracks... it seems that Staropoli was desperate for the album to be more than an hour long). And here, on Challenge the Wind, they decided to put an shortened version of Vaquished by Shadows, rather than wanting to end the album in an epic way with Vanquished by Shadows itself... (or putting another song in its place that wasn't a different/shortened version of an existing track on the album)

@@_KamijouTouma I just consider this track a little bonus track, nothing more, same for the different versions of Magic Signs. And while it's true that they did not give a traditional "satisfying" ending to the last two albums, I don't think it's that big a deal, considering Holy Downfall and Chains of Destiny are two very solid and impactful titles, very epic in their own right, even though they end quite abruptly.

Love *Rhapsody of Fire* since *_Rain of a Thousand Flames_* (2001), but guys, you are using a clunky verb here: *"Mastered* by the Dark / Black Wizard with no soul / [...] / Kreel has your own blood,"-it seems that the Black Wizard is being _controlled by, commanded by,_ or _ruled over by_ the Dark (Kreel?) _"to master something"_ means "to have the skill of something", "to subject to one's will, control, or authority", "to conquer", "to overpower", "to subdue".
