It warms my heart seeing all these comments here about just discovering this awesome lady. Yes she's beautiful and most talented but she makes magic happen regularly. I discovered her with the Carolina Chocolate Drops, What a great band they are!

Giddens' work makes me cry on so many levels. Intensely beautiful and genuine, and goddamn does her music HURT. One of the greatest artists alive today.
