I made this video of the Rhine Falls on 12th May 2022. The sound is original. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed producing the footage.
The Rhine Falls is about 15,000 years old and located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Europe. There are three waterfalls, they are called "one of the largest waterfalls in Europe". Beside the Rhine Falls, it is the Sarpsfossen in Norway and the Dettifoss in Iceland. The English version of wikipedia mentions only the Rhine Falls as the most powerful waterfall in Europe. The German version of Wikipedia mentions the three waterfalls I mentioned before.
The Rhine Falls are 150 meters (ca. 492 ft) wide and 23 meters (ca. 75 ft) high. The average flow rate during the whole year is about 250 m³ (8,800 cu ft) per second. In summer the average water flow is about 600 m³ (21,000 cu ft) per second. The highest water flow ever measured was 1,250 m³ (44,000 cu ft) per second in the year 1965. The water flow on 12th of May 2022 was about 314 m³ (11,089 cu ft) per second.
