Rhino tank - GTA Trash episode 2 

Incase you're wondering, that thing at 1:06 is supposed to be the gunner sight. Rhino MkII with usable cupola gun that can be switched to 50cal minigun, paint jobs, better armor, etc. Do it Rockstar, before you add Oppressor MkIII.

The Rhino tank was great back in 2013-2014 when the servers were all lower levels and you had to be level 100 to get an RPG to fight the Rhino. Same with lazers until you unlocked snipers. Damn I miss the good ol' days.

Rockstar needs to add a Rhino tank buff, or even better, the Rhino Mk.II.

The good thing about the rhino is that it is a secret dlc, which one? Football/soccer.(Use ur turret to toss trucks around)

I can agree that it used to rule. It wasnt every lobby, but in like 1 out of 3 games you would find someone rampaging in it.

The Rhino could use an upgrade. Such as: - allow a second gunner on top - Have it faster, range and ROF buffed to create a distinction between its competitor - have it take like 2 extra homing missiles to take down - have counter measures - able to customize the tank with different paint jobs

Now almost anything that can fly can take a dump on the rhino tank

They really need to upgrade the graphics in the journey

TBH I think the Rhino just needs a buff to its total HP - And a slight model rework. The Rhino should be tougher, but less manoeuvrable than the Khanjali....or however you spell that.

I like this series, haven't watched this one yet but its interesting, I'd like to see you do one of the armoured cars like the schafter V12, which really isn't that armoured, is slow and crap Edit: I've finished watching lol and it was great, I thought the rhino would be weaker too Alternatively, some of the OG NPC cars, like the asea, Blista (which I do love but some people say its pretty bad), Regina, even the Mk1 oppressor is obsolete, maybe compare it to the mk2 or something? the list can go on and on, I really like this series because its like the mini-review in a much more well made and slightly longer video, I appreciated and liked it at least, and I'm sure others do too, so uhh keep it up

The Rhino used to take over 20 RPGs IIRC. A LAZER would need multiple strafes to kill one. The armor was insane Now, it can't even survive a few cop cars suicide-bombing it.

In regards to why the Rhino is the way it is; the Tank was developed with only Single-Player in mind. With how few situations you'd find yourself in a Rhino Tank in Story Mode, and considering that you didn't and would not have anyone to use it with. The lack of detail and cooperative elements show that the Rhino was meant to just be something to exist in the Military base and wasn't meant to be kept under close observation as a personal vehicle. You weren't supposed to notice the lack of detail because you'd usually see the Military using it and even then, you wouldn't have time to look at it with that 5 star wanted level on you.

The tank is based off of a leopard 2A4, which has light armour and decent mobility for a tank, so that is why it takes 4 shots

From what I've seen, not only was there just not any other op ground vehicles in GTA at the time, but the Rhino just overall used to be better as it would take a lot more explosives to blow one up, about as much as the Khanjali. People complained about people terrorizing the server in one, so Rockstar nerfed it to be easier to take care of. Too bad that logic was outnumbered by the addition of the Khanjali, along with the onslaught of op vehicles we have in the game today.

I'm sure the Rhino used to actually take ~20 missiles to destroy originally, then it got nerfed into the ground

I used to rule the free mode session on ps3 but you can't use it with out getting blown up by an oppersor mk2

I remember when ot was basically indestructible lol you could only destroy it with explosives on the back of the engine compartment

I kinda want a Rhino Mark 2, because I already have a Rhino, with that tank looking similar with a working mg that might be more durable that doesn’t even have to be much better than the other tank.

The rhino isn't trash, it's just needed so badly that allot of missile based vehicles on this game will have a higher chance of beating the rhino, it's still kind of powerful, especially against npcs

It's capable of engaging full customized Khanjalis. Use your brain and let the Khanjali get confident, just get a shot on it's side and the Khanjali will get airborne and unable to shoot you. Even for it's nerf, the Rhino is still pretty powerful against anything that sticks to the ground. The cannon is still really powerful and it can keep up with any obstacles. It's dangerous to engage fully customized APCs and Khanjalis, but it still can beat em both if you outsmart your opponent and get advantage of the other vehicle's flaws. The Khanjali's gravity center sucks, it's easy to get it sideways to prevent it from being able to shoot you with it's cannon. The Rhino on the othet side is just a wall. Shoot it as much as you want, it just won't move. As for the APC... If it's using the default cannon, you should be capable without major risks. If it uses the rockets barrage, keep your distance and it's easy to be done. It's only counter in the ground which you won't be able to beat is probably the MOC, but then again, not even jets have a fun time taking that one down. At the end of the day, the Rhino gets the job done. It is powerful, it requires some skill to get real profit from it, but it's not overpowered to be immune against anything. You can fight a Rhino with whatever you want and win, but at the same time, a Rhino can fight whatever it has to and still succeed (That is about ground vehicles). I love it, I still use it to fight against Khanjalis or just to showoff at meets. It's probably one of my most used armed ground vehicles along the Stromberg, it's one of the few old things that can still impress people and get the shit it was designed for done.

Rhino would be amazing if it took less damage after it crushed a vehicle took atleast 6 explosives instead of 4, and make the mg on top be able to be used

By the if you want to know what the track wheels are called well they are called roll wheels. Edit if the roll wheels have two of them side by side is called a dull roll wheels

It might be trash, but the Rhino is the coolest looking out of all. And it's the veteran tank so I can forgive it.

I played this game back in 2014, Why did it only take til now to realise that the rhino tank model is based off of a leopard 2A4 instead of an Abrams?

The biggest question is why we have the leopard 2a4 instead of an m1 Abrams

It wouldn't be hard to make this a viable option again like it was back in it's time as king. Increase durability, make its .50 work finally and there ya go. I remember having used it all the time on 360 cuz there was nothing else to compete, now no one uses it because everything is better.

Remember back then when the Rhino didn't show on the map. So people would try to come and shoot you then realize you're in a tank and freak out. Or if you drive in a duo team you could cycle cannon fire and kill any rival tank in 3 quick shots. Your only enemy was a jet or buzzard. So if you hid in tunnels you're unstoppable. Go flying when you hit the cannon on specific objects/vehicles. Fight the spawn points near the cinema driving up and down the road to make it spawn but finding someone else's tank and stealing it because they can't stop you. So many things. Ah, good days.

Remember shooting backward to speed up the tank

The Rhino is one thing that needs a buff, or a Mk 2 version. Theres even a petition for a Mk 2 Rhino. The rhino was known for being tough in its legacy.

Fun fact: The NPCs can use the top gun just fine. You can even make a Survival with NPCs on the top gun. However the point still absolutely stands that it can't be used by players and is thus dumb as hell.

It's still particularly useful for prep mission grinding so you don't have to send your personal vehicle away
