Last week, the GCF Team, GCF Anti-Poaching Ranger Recruits, and our @BlakeMoynes x @TheSOSA Ecotour Guests participated in a veterinary treatment for a white rhino, led by our partner Dr. @WilliamFowlds on the @Kariega.Game.Reserve . Funding for this procedure was made possible via our Ecotour guests! With the opportunity to layer this activity, it was the first time ever for the recruits to touch a living rhino, let alone see one up close in the wild. After the procedure, the rhino received a horn trim as part of the multi-reserve effort to keep the rhinos “de-horned” in the region.
