How many of you out there are pulling RVs and/or trailers in your travels?

Saw some pics on amazon of some of the shanks being beaten up. How's your shank holding up?

So far, so good. Admittedly, I’ve only pulled a small cargo trailer with it, but I have gone across the country several times already (including once before sitting this video). I’m guessing it’s like anything else, if you treat it well, it will hold up. It’s one of the better hitches I’ve owned in the last couple decades of towing. Thanks for watching!

Correction, the 2" Receiver is rated at 8,000 Lbs. for the 2" ball and 12,500 for the 2 5/16" ball. Of note, the keys have a number printed on them... They are not universal.

Thanks for your comment! I was just reading from the spec sheet that came with my hitch. If you look at the current Amazon listing it shows 18,500 lbs as the max trailer weight for the 2 5/16" side. I do see some conflicting info on that new Amazon page though...I think they just updated the product. it was unavailable for quite a while and now that it is back I think they have made some upgrades. I also don't have a number on my key (see 2:31 in the video). I purchased 4 Rhino products from different vendors and the key is universal across all the products with no number. I've read about others having the same experience/concerns in Amazon product comments and forums. Maybe they corrected that issue with this product update. If so, good on them! I think that would be a worthwhile upgrade. Thanks again for watching.

No grease on that ball. He isn’t pulling anything

Ha ha…incorrect sir! On the contrary, I was simply smart enough to shoot my close ups with the product before using it :) I was also smart enough to shoot all my other shots with the 2 5/16” ball up…which has never been used, since my little trailer has a 2” coupling. Think before commenting…it’s always helpful :)
