Re-watching this as a 22-year-old with an understanding of the recording industry, it has changed my whole perspective. Kandi generously wrote "Tardy for The Party" for Kim as a friend so Kim could charge appearance fees and perform the song at different events (Basically Kandi giving her friend a free job that she previously didn't have), and on top of it, gives Kim an additional storyline on the show that also pays her bills. Then Kim gets an undeserved ego and has the nerve to say that Kandi's songwriting abilities on "Ring Didn't Mean a Thing" aren't up to her performing standard?! Girl bye. You are a talentless vocalist who is already doing an injustice to a song written by a Grammy award winner who invited you to open on HER tour (Another free job for Kim). Finally, you go behind Kandi's back and try selling the song to pocket the money.
