Fantastic island!! There’s something for everyone in Rhodes. I have stayed at Ialysos twice. I enjoyed your video and commentary. It’s the best thing to have the opportunity to explore wonderful places!
Hi zameer, great video. We went a few years ago to rodos. Amazing place. You must try to visit the grand masters palace and the old town, the animal on the tall colums are rodian deer, this is where the statue of the Colossus used to stand, protecting the entrance to the harbour. It was as tall as the statue of liberty, but collapsed into the harbour in a earthquake in 226 BC. History lesson over😂. Enjoy 😎

Zameer the Medieval Town was renovated extensively by Mussolini in the early 30’s using stone masons from Malta. The same is true for the Kalithea baths. He wanted to use Rhodes as his vacation home as did the Roman Emperors. The medieval castle was built by the Knights of St. John who also built the castle in Akko Israel just north of Haifa. When the Arabs invaded they fled with many Rhodeans to Malta; a large majority of Maltans are from Rhodes. The island in the 12th-13th century was given by the Byzantine Empire to Genoa. The Crusaders bought it from them.
At 1:15:14 - ahead you can see Monte Smith hill, and from Voriou Ipirou street - very nice view to Rodos. And Rodos - "island of cats", near Kalithea Springs big "cat camp".
