Sounds about like Eno & Budd! I've been a big fan of Harold Budd for many years, in fact The Room of Mirrors is what I wake up to every morning. Rest in peace good man! They don't make them anymore like you.
If I was not so resistant to getting a Prophet 5, an artful showcasing like this one could easily whet my appetite for one, especially after 2020 when the late Dave Smith gave us the 10-voice synth he'd been dreaming of for 43 years. Been daydreaming of it, especially since I was reminded it also comes in a tabletop module rev.
Thanks, all the credit goes to Harold Budd and Brian Eno! However, the Prophet-5 rev.2 really does have that late '70 / early '80s ambient vibe for sure.
Paolo you're a legend. Tho The Rhodes isn't a synth, this pairing might be the most beautiful I've heard you do. That Rhodes is gorgeous. And good god, that Rev 2 Prophet is incredible. Dream synth.
Tim, thank you! It's an easy genre to make, basically you stay mainly in one key and improvise according to the notes in the scale... For hardware, you can use any synth (hardware or software) and piano sound (hardware or software), and apply delay and reverb effects - again, hardware or software will do just fine. If you'd like more info / explanation, I'll be happy to make a video to show you how I did this...
This could be the score of a sci-fi movie, the love theme of another or the same kind of movie, coud be the thrilling sound of a horror movie. well, this tune brings many different sensations! very nice!
Jack, thank you! Yes, it's all improvised, I listened to a lot of Harold Budd / Brian Eno records in the '80s and was just playing around in that beautiful style-
Wow!What a talent. You are someone very special Mr. Paolo. To create these melodies and atmospheres that it Makes You dream. Thank so so much for sharing so Many things with everyone. Ciao Paolo, would you have the track for download available somewhere? I'd gladly pay to have the possibility to listen to it uncompressed by the RU-vid filter. Could totally go for a good listening on a proper hi fi, as it's just an awesome track. Thanks
@@SynthManiaDotCom Thank you Paolo. I need one for my Rhodes as I want to stack my portable Hammond on top of mine. Thanks for the link. Keep up the great work
Hi Paolo, How is it going with your Blue (Da Ba Dee) research/Juno 106 lead synth recreation? Also, I have gotten a scam reply on one of my comments from a Text on Telegram impersonator account with the Synthmania name, but I have reported it and the comment is deleted. No pressure at all, if you have other important stuff to do, that is okay.
