It's not really a setting. Setting the gun up is a technique, but it's different for each color. It's hard to explain, but pretty easy to show visually. We don't have a video on here, but we do have one up on ApplicatorHangout.com.
I’m having a lil issue with my fan, it’s pretty heavy on one side and light on the other. I’ve been cleaning the gun like usual. Any issues like that for you? Wish I could post a picture on here. I took a pic of the fan spray
The vanes are either clogged or there's an issue with the holes that go around the center hole on your air cap. Use a small piece of wire to clean them out. An ultrasonic cleaner helps.
I know this is kind of off the subject but when I Cerakote poly stocks and forehands, they are smooth after sandblasting, but once painted they feel very gritty and rough. I let they air cure for about 10 min then in the over at 150 for 2 hours. What am I doing wrong.
Could be a couple of things. You are either sanding at too high of a pressure, or your coating is thin. Sanding too high will damage the surface, leaving a rough texture. If it feels ok after sanding, that's probably not your issue. It's likely that your base coat is being sprayed too thin. Slow your passes down just a little and overlap by 50%.
@@BransonCerakote I didn't mention that it had factory muti forest camo on it possibly dipped. So now I'm wondering if it was roughed up intentionally. I'm hoping I can maybe scotch brite it and re sandblast it at a lower pressure to smooth it out. Also, what do you mean by overlapping the coat?
