Yes, I am a Rhodesian, born and bred, and unless you lived there and fought the Rhodesian War you will never, ever know how proud those people are of their heritage. I now am a Canadian, but, will always be a Rhodesian. They never die.........!

I was a young Nurse in Rhodesia and working in Andrew Fleming Casualty when the survivors were brought in from the Viscount that was brought down during the War Years ! I will never forget that day. I watch the news over the Years and I am shocked and saddened that Rhodesia has litterilly GONE TO THE DOGS! I look back and think what might have been! Are the Zimbabwens happy I clearly think not! Yesterday I was celebrating my own independence day, and it hit me that my country and Rhodesia share the same independence day. I wish all the best for the remaining Rhodesians out there and want to tell them that it is worth fighting to restore your country, even if it's going to take centuries. In Zimbabwe Mugabe drives around like the elite back in the USSR. They drive with a motor cade of vehicles travelling 120+mph flying down the the middle of the road. Mugabe rides in the front and is followed by trucks full of soldiers. All cars on the road have to dive off the road to make way. Those who dont make way for Mugabe get shot. A white women in Saulsbury in the city centre was shot dead because she was in able to move her car in time. Another black man who unfortuately was on a one way bridge couldnt clear way and was shot dead.

Sad to see Rhodesia die and all the men who volunteered to fight to preserve it one of them is my uncle who was a Vietnam veteran who got discharged and fought in Rhodesia as a Selous Scout.

I know a guy who lived on Salt Spring Island on the west coast of BC. His dad was a nazi from Germany. He went to Rhodesia as a volunteer to fight, told stories of having vicious killer dogs in a cage, releasing them in a village and they would just tear them apart. When he got back to Salt Spring he kept his habit of having vicious as fuck dogs in a cage in the back of his truck. Never released em into the village...
