I hate how they have to say certain governments in the new version so little twiter jjw`s dont get offended "yOu`Re BeInG oFfEnSiVe To BrItAn By PoInTiNg FiNgErS aT tHeM!"
Actually, many of the whites were not born in the country. Prominent examples include Ian Smith's wife Janet, Clifford Dupont, and Desmond Lardner Burke. On the other hand, Ian Smith was born in Rhodesia, as was also true of 40 per cent of the whites at the time of the March 1969 census.
Those lands were our lands, land our people settled in cohabitation with the natives. We had as much right to be there as the Americans do to their own land.
Ach, I weep. One of my first loves in high school was a Rhodie. Lovely girl, but her family had lost everything. They never spoke of it. Three of her other relatives had been murdered barbarously by the Red blacks raiding over the border.
my family doctor here in canada when i was a teenager was a vet of the bush war, you could see the pride in his eyes when he'd talk about it, you could tell he missed it.
it wasn't so beautiful for the indigenous Zimbabweans living in a police state under minority white rule. thing about propaganda films is they can make you nostalgic for the Stalinist purges, Nazi Germany, and Bill Clinton's presidency all at once
When I see this, I often wonder why, but when I look back and feel like I really want to cry, I realise then it was all worth the try. With sanctions and against communism, we fought the good fight, in sunshine and in rainand with plenty of pain, I say to myself; If I was given another chance, I'd do it all again. A Proud Rhodesian Forever.
I can't even imagine what that must of been like. If fighting communist*s is any measure of a man then you ar a great great man. Thank you for your service and I'm sorry Mugabe (burning in hell) Destroyed rhodesia. PS just to reitrate f the commys
The story of Rhodesia is oft not told or passed on in the West. Though some would be glad to know that in popular culture the story of Big Boss, of Zanzibarland, of Outer Haven, of the Soldiers Without Borders. Men without a country. Little do they know they’ve been told all about Rhodesia.
Rhodesia is just as America was in its newest days, just as Rome was when she was birthed, Rhodesia is the spirit of good people, Rhodesia has always been in the hearts of those who dare to live free.
Does anyone remember an African corporal in A Company, 1RAR, known as "Shorty"? Little guy but thick set. Boy was he motivated. I remember assorted PATU, BSAP and GF messing around preparing for a follow up after a farm attack in the north-west of Mtoko Commercial Farming Area in 1979 when he and his stick of four came through. All he wanted was to be shown the spoor and he and his men were off on it without even stopping. He made the rest of us look tentative and amateurish.
Thank you brother. There are some of us still breathing. No longer whenwe's now we are toldyouso's. Looking at what's happening in Europe especially Sweden shows Karma can be a bitch.
Thank you for this. (an Englishman old enough to remember) - I happened to work in a fashion glasses warehouse in Surrey years ago. Two black women were sent by the agency one day and they jabbered all day. As we were getting ready to go home one of the Rhodesian owners, (who had been very quite,) wished us a nice weekend and then loudly told the blacks to F* O*. Turned out he understand every word they had been saying. He never told us what they had been talking about.
@joeyphaahla You are correct it was an absolute utopia and then the three demons mundullard moo gayboi and nkomomoron got involved with their communist buddies in Peking and Moscow to destroy everything
@@jmgonzales7701it's not your land either, you turned Central America into a violence wracked hellhole that keeps getting worse & worse & all you can do is blame everyone else "it's daaaa Gringos" youve been ruling Central & South America for 80+ years USA is only 200 years old & somehow figured out how to build a civilized society. You guys hate America but at the same time are jumping all over yourselves to get into America & away from the violent poverty stricken hellholes your culture created & perpetuates. Kinda like the idiots praising Zimbabwe & the glories of 00s of 000s of starving citizens & mass-murdered families burned alive for not being Mugabe the monsters tribe. To your culture you praise attrocities as long as the black Africans are being murdered by Black African despot tinpot dictator.
This is very beautifull and reminds me of my grandpa who was involved in the bush war in late 1968 when he was liberated by the Rhodesian troops since he was an POW who was taken from Tete in Mozambique to Rhodesia by border crossing, he lived in Rhodesia for an good time (some years later) since he couldn't return to Mozambique after 1975 because the white minority living there was deported back to Portugal, he left Rhodesia in 1979 where he went to Germany and lived in Düsseldorf for few time and then returned to his family that was in Portugal
It is good to see some film of A.S. in action. Most of Rhodesian film is of E.S. There are also some good lessons in it for everyone about taking single aimed shots and not blazing away indiscrimiately on automatic. Most troops are not that disciplined.
Note that the order was given to set the selectors on the FNs to semi-auto, to save ammunition. The RLI were trained to shoot accurately, and did so. No Quick K*ll here, but precision and discipline...
@@mcaddicts Wtf it was them who embargoed Rhodesians and made it hell to live in whilst the Commie hoard invaded in with the guises of "Freedom and Democracy". Bc Britain was trying to look out for there image after WW2 not realizing that Rhodesia was able to live by themselves and even feed other Africans and know...is a Chinese Debt trap. Congrats on trying to look Progressive Brits know your country and Africans are feeling the burn...
There are no words to describe how i feel when i hear this. I am from European Rhodesia - Serbian Krajina, same story, same fate. Great respect from an Orthodox Serb!
In addition to the song's melancholy style of recording, the background footage of Rhodesian soldiers makes this more powerful. The recording was made in a venue in Salisbury, 1978. By that point, poor Rhodesia was losing the war against the PF, and the whites were leaving in droves, essentially dwindling to one-third it was in the early 70's. This impacted their war effort, and to continue their defiance, Mr Ian Smith called to african volunteers. The majority of the footage in this video is black soldiers doing their work. This shows how desperate Rhodesia was, even using people who were made to fight against their fellow people on the Zambezi.
if you have eyes to see and a mind to recognize, you already know that what happened to Rhodesia, and what is happening to South Africa, will also soon happen to Europe and America.
Independence on the 11th of November huh? Why does that date sound oddly familiar? Somehow that month and day seem to pop up in major historical events a lot more often than 1/365
Those lands were our lands, land our people settled in cohabitation with the natives. We had as much right to be there as the Americans do to their own land.
It's impossible, unfortunately. The process of genesis of big social systems is irreversible. But there is a good thing about this too: the West will have either to fight former colonies, or get less resources from them for constantly growing prices, paying for fooling of its own citizens. All in all it will end with a big war...
Im a Brit and I will only ever call Rhodesia by the term Rhodesia. Its got me in the shit a few times in the snowflake world. So ashamed of how Rhodesia was abandoned. Paying or it now...
Our prof in Political Science played it for us in 80 never forget Jerome O Hara a Jesuit priest was Mugabe champion The black pope sent his men to Rhodesia
Being proud of Rhodesia doesn't make you either. Case in point, footage of Black-African Rhodesians fighting for their country, just like their White brethren.
That's probably why it's so beautiful. Rhodesia wasn't perfect; it was the spirit of a people proud to build a country from the ground up, only to be torn down by the ignorant.
@@bilalabdi9148 extremely ignorant. The ones that have internet can't even spell the word. If they weren't ignorant, that would mean the starvation and genocide were products of malice.
This was the greatest nation in all of Africa founded by our people a great White nation in the middle of the Black continent. These people built the greatest civilization in all of Africa next to South Africa and they would still exist today if there leadership never gave into the pressures of the world Enemy ruling Britain and the United States. Rhodesia still lives in our hearts and it’s people can reclaim their homelands if we got our shit together and liberate that unfortunate hellhole that’s in its place and re-establish White Rhodesia.
