I started taking LDN 3 months ago after being nagged by my sister to take it. Her friend a physician told her to take it. His wife had MS, couldn't walk and had trouble talking and after taking LDN she can now walk and talk. His son has Crones and he gave him LDN and now he no longer has crones. My sister took it for Fibromyalgia and now sleeps thru the night and it has eased her pain. My nephew has Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and swears by LDN. I decided to take it when I Amitriptyline was no longer helping me with my sleep problems. I stopped the Amitriptyline and I started taking 1.5mg. LDN The first night I felt relaxed after I took it. I woke up in the middle of the night, but was able to fall back to sleep, something I could not do in the past. IN the morning I realized that pain I have in my right shoulder from a very damaged tendon (damaged from Levoquine) that interfered with my sleep ever since it occurred was not there. For the 1st time in 2 years It did not wake me up. I couldn't believe it. I was also able to touch the area without feeling any pain which in the past was impossible as it was too painful. During that day and following days I noticed my brain fog had lifted. I my mind was clear and sharp. I could remember things days later that I had read. Names of movies I just saw or names of people that before I could not remember 5 minutes after I met someone or saw a movie. I tested myself and had no trouble remembering lists. My mind was clear as it used to be. I am 72 now and have trouble with names etc. for years. I have Scoliosis that was brought on by some bad Chiropractic adjustments. I had been walking stooped over for a while and was thinking that soon I would be in a wheel chair,Sitting at the computer after around 2 weeks on LDN, I got a very sharp pain in my spine and felt a shifting. I thought I was in big trouble. I stood up and to my surprise and delight, I was standing straight and have been doing so ever since. I think the muscles in my back were tight and pulling my spine crooked. I think they relaxed and let my spine straighten out. Over the past few years I have shrunk around 3". I now have regained some of my height.I have Asthma and Hashimotos which I have had since I was a small child. My lungs seem to have relaxed and are not tight as they were before. Breathing is easier and I am alert and able to do things I haven't done in years. I have energy and the will to do things that I could not do before. I am not exhausted at the end or middle of the day. I did not have to change my Synthroid dose as I had energy but was not hyper thyroid now.I am so happy my sister told me about it. It took me over a year to decide to try it. I did have to take info I printed out on it to my doctor and spent a half hour to get him to give me a prescription for it. I will be bringing him my results this week and hope he reads up on it more and I will direct him to this video. I have lost a large part of my life due to my having many autoimmune diseases. I am trying to make up for it now. I bless the researchers who found out what it is able to do.

Started taking LDN after having been on 25mg of methotrexate for 8 years for my severe Psoriatic Arthritis. I had to come off the methotrexate because I was showing signs of neuropathy and so decided to give LDN a try before getting on a biologic. It took 3 months to see full affect, but I now have normal ESR and CRP my antithyroid antibodies are also down and thyroid function is normal...I used to sleep 18-20 hours a day from extreme sleepiness, fibromialgia pain and depression, I can't say I'm 100% healed but I only take short naps a couple of times a week and take no pain meds at all. And my mental health doctor titrated me off antidepressants and I only take vitamin d for that now. I have one quarter size psoriasis spot and one pinky joint that is slightly inflamed! I had more symtoms on tje methotrexate! Here is to hoping I can stay off the toxic meds for good! 😊

I saw this in a discussion on Sjogren's when someone talked about taking plaquenil and made an appointment but then read about LDN.although I've gone to my doctor for 30 years I had to talk him into this. I actually had to call the pharmacist and get the directions for the RX and tell the doctor what to write. I should hope that I get this soon and helps. I just want to be a little bit normal. I will check back since I have Sjogren's, fibro, Raynauds, arthritis, hyperthyroidism, low blood pressure, difficulty eating and swallowing, no insomnia, some depression, dry everything and constant pain especially my SI joint and lower back, and hands. My doctor actually seemed strange about the fact that I didn't care if I can't take pain medicine well on this medication. I have always said that I just want to be somewhat normal again. I can't tell you how many times I asked him if there was something I could take and he never offeredme plaquenil! I am wondering if he gets a kickback on the pain med Rx?

I take one 50mg tablet of Naltraxone and cut it into 3 to 4mg pieces. Although some pieces crumble into nothing and are unusable, I usually get 14 usable pieces out of one 50 MG pill. My doctor showed me how to do this. I take it for chronic lymphadenopathy and couldn't function without it.

I was told recently by a doctor that research will not recommend something if people have been harmed. I asked about the bad press Hopi ear candles get from the research. (they work for me) He said that research is based on safety and it records figures on hospital treatment of burned ears :-) . So its not about whether they work or not, its about supervision. . Go figure . Always use someone professional who knows the product and how to supervise your safety. I wish i could be allowed to try a tester of LDN but my doc wont .

M she, don't bother, order 50 mg tablets off shore on the internet, put one 50 mg tablet in 50 ml of distilled water, 1 mg= 1ml. Get a plastic calibrated syringe and take out what you need for dose, i.e. 3 ml is 3 mg, etc. Store in fridge. Don't listen to Kresser, you can find a reputable off shore pharmacy.

How long does it take for someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis taking LDN to get relief?
@julianeg3035
@julianeg3035 8 лет назад
+Justa Victorin I started having relief in a week.You have to change your diet to exclude ANY night shade vegetable. and: NO salt. Decrease your caffeine. NO sulfides what so ever. That means any cured meats, hidden preservatives in dried fruit. NO artificial sweeteners. It takes a month to detox you body from the night shades. LDN must be properly prepared.

@julianeg3035
@julianeg3035 8 лет назад
+Lea Ann Savage Hi Lea Ann. Most of what I learned I have gleaned from going to many different web sources and what has given me relief and what has caused noticeable and violent flare ups. For instance, I have sourced info by doing a basic Google search on night shade vegetables. I'll get hundreds of choices to read from including medical ( John Hopkins), internet Docs ( Weiss), forums and Wikipedia. I read and compare them all. Often times there is contradictory information, such as I have read on John Hopkins and Weiss. if the majority of sources agree with info, testimonies from forum individuals and my own experience, I go with what is right. The single most dramatic positive change for me was going to a anti inflammatory diet. The top of that list is eliminating night shades, pasteurized milk products and non wild meats. I also had the help on Naturopaths. Naturopaths introduced me to LDN as well. Salt depletes your body of minerals thus decreasing bone density. Also dehydration depletes the joints of synovial fluid. Sulfites are just plain poison. Do a search on that you will find many health warnings on that including arthritic sulfite sensitivity and cluster headaches. Western doctors have only given me choices of prescriptions that cause major organ damage. Good luck and please post your research when you find what works for you. We all benefit from that. Always research for yourself anything anyone says

My mother had Rheumatoid. She found out about the artificial sweetners. At the time I had no symptoms. Then as I got older I had sever hand and hip pain (45 years old). I discovered my coffee shop was putting artificially sweetened syrup in my drink. I cut it out immediately. In 2 weeks I was pain free. I'm 53 now and many many more foods affect me. At 52 I was carrying a 25 pound back pack on a 10 mile hike in the mountains. This last year I screwed up my diet...and got older. I couldn't walk across a store or hold a job. I am crash cleaning my act up. I'm back to work 8 hours a day on my feet. Still in pain, but better
@julianeg3035
@julianeg3035 8 лет назад
Wow! Thanks for your information too! You are ahead of my game. I haven't been able/willing to kick the coffee. Everything you said is spot on. I have very low blood pressure too. It is manageable. I go through a lot of water too. When I'm working I can't consume so much water as I'm stuck in surgery for hours at a time and can't -constantly- go to the bathroom. Salt in my diet gives me pain and lots of it. I don't think it has anything to do with LDN. I'm going to look into the Autoimmune Paleo diet and the vitamin K and Boron. I saw an X-ray of my foot and it looked at bit osteoporotic. I have to ask if anyone has had A-typical pain on their heel? It doesn't act like plantar fascitis. Waiting for an MRI. I've tried everything- aggressive stretching, deep tissue massage, ice, heat, Epsom salt and magnesium soaks, oral tumeric, bromide, biopeprine, over the counter anti inflamatories. I thought it was another inflammatory process. Now I have to look at other disease processes. Thanks!

If you stop taking the LDN, for whatever reason, is there a rebound effect like there is with other drugs?
@beachFront1000
@beachFront1000 8 лет назад
I am curious to learn the answer to this too
@babybunnies
@babybunnies 8 лет назад
Is there a reason why it should not? It is like any other medical condition. If you stop taking anti-convulsant medication, will the seizures come back? Maybe you can answer why there would not be any reason to revert back to the old health ways.
@ldjt6184
@ldjt6184 8 лет назад
+b I don't just mean returning to baseline and going back to being unprotected, with feeling exactly how you were feeling before you started the LDN. What I mean is, can the drug make the disease worse? Can it propel the disease process and make it more aggressive than it was before you took the drug. Can it do damage?
@babybunnies
@babybunnies 8 лет назад
+Maple Hill I understand you now. It is best to ask the scientist that question. www.lowdosenaltrexone.org, may be one website to look at. I would hope that if there was a high probability of anything getting worse, it would of been mentioned. A woman got pregnant with her severe complex health issues taking the drug, so it seems reasonably safe, not to cause more damage than before.
@ldjt6184
@ldjt6184 8 лет назад
+b I read somewhere that it can cause the opposite effect you were looking for...i.e. making your disease worse, not better. In some people it can cause more inflammation, while in others, it helps stop it. So I just don't know...it's a bit scary.

Skype or Google Hang Outs. When you are communicating through audio and video, the ear pieces stop a "feedback", which would sound like an echo.. the person speaking will come to front, and person not speaking will go to a corner, depending on what system you are using. This is very common in live recorded internet conversations. I hope this helped. But I hope their conversation and information helped more than my comment answering your "tech" inquiry. Stay healthy!! :)

Christiann Heartwood 50 mg is very high dose. This dose is suitable for treatment of alcohol addiction. U need 3 mg Naltrexone taken at night in order to produce just brief blockade of opiod receptors which in turn will increse 300% the production of endorphins. It is suggested that increased endorphins work directly on the tumour's opiod receptors and induce cancer cell death (apoptosis).
