Hi! Hope you're all doing well! I wanted to mention that I'm not affiliated with the Soap Challenge Club in any way. I'm just a participant and a big fan of all they do for the soapmaking community. Thank you so much for watching! -Holly :)
Your talent level in this is unmatched. I have watched sooo many of your videos and have tried replicating many of them, but never am I able to do it with such perfection. This is pure skill.
I just love your soap making videos! I have been making soap for 20 years and I learn something new from you every single time! Your voice is so calming and soothing. I think I have watched nearly all of your videos. The best soapmaking videos on RU-vid - you have the right formula - the various angles for the viewer, easy music, method and your voice is the icing on the cake - what a gift you have. I appreciate the time it must take - and you share so completely - thank you Holly 😊
Holy WOW! Those colors turned out beautifully!!!! (Now I'm googling where I can buy rhubarb crowns to plant in February in my planting zone. LOL!) Gorgeous work, as always.
Your videos do a lot to lift a depression I'm going thru right now and I just wanted to give you a deep thank you. Thank you so much, Holly. You're doing something really special.
Fantastic results!! I loved watching the lye hit the oils and turn red! The magic of chemistry... I hope the colors stay vibrant! Thank you so much for sharing, Holly!
Thank you so much, Amy! The colors with this soap have just gotten more cherry red and hot pink over time. I can't believe it took me so long to try rhubarb. 😂
these soaps are so beautiful!!! the color scheme goes very well together! you make soapmaking look so easy. thank you for sharing your knowledge and recipes. you're very inspiring ❤ i do have a question; why do you change your soap ingredients/recipes? is there any reason in particular?
This are simply beautiful, and the fact that you created it with natural colorants is all the more impressive. You have my vote for the Soap Making Challenge (I don't have an actual vote but if I did it would be YOURS). These are gorgeous! And the fragrance sounds equally wonderful :)
Beautiful Holly!! Can tell your brain is always buzzing with the next beautiful thing to share. Thank you for sharing!!! Happiest of holidays lady!!! So appreciate your imagination!!!
Thank you for the soap recipe. I just tried it and had plenty of time to work an intricate design. I always love watching your videos! So soothing , beautifully orchestrated, and informative.
Wow Holly, such beautiful colour combination, gorgeous soap, now I want to make one with same colours too! Thank you for these beautiful calm videos, a joy to watch🙏❤️
Hi Holly, these are beautiful 😍! I love the mantra design and I love the color this rhubarb powder is! I've been sick, but soon as I'm better, ill make mine. Thank you for sharing a wonderful video. 😊💞
Such a beautiful soap. I find it so interesting watching your work in process...lovely vid 💓 Thank you for sharing your knowledge, creativity and skills 🤗
I love your tutorials! I am so bummed that the Himalayan rhubarb I ordered from the Yarn Tree did not turn pink, but stayed a brown color -- even after the heat infusion which you so carefully explained. I have no idea what went wrong, but quickly added some mica so the batch didn't go to waste.
This absolutely beautiful. Holly, I cannot find this recipe, where can I find it. It says on the home page, but where. I have searched. I know I must be missing it and may be in front of my eyes...
Thanks Holly, another beautiful soap, love the use of TD to make pink, when you compare the two Rhubarb powders have you noticed a difference in the final shade of red? Or are you keeping that info for another video. Mine has remained the most gorgeous shade only possible difference it appears to have a pearly shimmer on top after three weeks.
Thank you! The soaps from the previous video still look almost identical to the final photos in the video (deep magenta). This soap, however, has turned more of a beautiful cherry red and hot pink as time goes by. I've just been thrilled with the results. :)
Thank you! I actually designed and sell the t-shirts. If you're interested in looking at them, you can find them here: bit.ly/3oO2gNC Thanks for asking about them!
That color is amazing, thanks for sharing. I didnt think you could get such a vibrant color from a natural herb. That looks like a mica color. Did it fade a whole lot after a while?
Thank you! I have been so surprised by the rhubarb. This soap in particular (made with the rheum emodi Himalayan rhubarb) has gotten more cherry red and hot pink as it ages. The others I made last month are all still holding their color, too. I've read the rhubarb doesn't fade, so I'm hoping that's true over much longer periods of time.
Thank you so much! From my experience so far, the colors just get better with time. These soaps in particular have gotten more cherry red and hot pink with time. I've heard from other soap makers that rhubarb doesn't fade like other natural colorants do. :)
Hi Holly, absolutely wonderful soaps ❤️... Just a query.. in past since you already made soaps with this herb... Do the colors bleed during usage after the soaps are cured for the 4 to 6 wks curing time period? Thank you in advance for your answer ❤️
Thank you so much! I haven't had any issue with the colors bleeding. The lather is white, too, which I was relieved to find and actually meant to include in this video. :)
I need to watch your other video on using rhubarb, I must’ve missed it because I’m interested. When I used that starwest botanicals rhubarb, mine turned out this dusty mauve color that was not appealing at all. I tried several times too. It was so disappointing.
That was my result with the Starwest Botanicals, too...kind of a dusty light pink. I bought a giant bag of it, too. 🤦🏻♀️ This one from Botanical Colors is probably my favorite and the colors have just gotten more cherry red and hot pink over time. :)
