Today I’m in Rhyl, where I met Cameron and Nicky, who are sharing a tent on the coast. Both from outside the area (Nicky from Liverpool and Cameron from Swindon) they’re struggling to get the help they need from housing associations
Im 56 this year... brought up in poverty in the seventies and eighties....hard times.... but I have never seen life as harsh as now....lost my sister to medical negligence because nobody seems to care, not even doctors..im a woman will diabetes and arthritis but have to work standing on my feet eight hours just to pay the rent ... working doesn't buy anything these days, other than keeping a roof over your head..dread the bills...sad times indeed.
This really pisses me off, we’ve got homeless people of our own who are desperate for help and get none and yet the government are falling over themselves forking out millions of pounds for illegals, putting them up in hotels feeding them giving them money, it’s a disgrace we should look after our own first.
These are real homeless not the people outside supermarkets with a dry blanket . An alot of these people have been in hostels and lost there places and it's making yourself intentionally homeless by breaking the rules so they won't help you . After coming out of prison they house you like they said there drug addicts and it's the lifestyle
I find this so sad John...Nicky talking about un-aliving himself...terrible thing to feel like you're just existing and not living..I really hope these two lads can change their lives..great vid as always John...thank you.
I do myself Tracy. Nicky is going to Devon, where his daughter lives, to try and rebuild his life. I hope he can. Both really nice fellas with bad circumstances. Thanks for your comment Tracy 🙏
I live in rhyl and it's sad to hear some of the locals have been moaning about where the tents are😮i hope the 2 lads get to sort their shit out 👍🏴
Thank you for your very important videos. My heart bleeds for the two lads. Cam standing there obviously freezing with no hope ahead for him, no one to tell him they are there for him and it will be okay. It is so very sad. I just wanted to give him a big hug. I am so sorry the 'system' has failed you, so sorry that you are not the priority for help. I hope something turns up for you very soon and you find somewhere warm to lay your head, feel safe, and call home.
Working in the ambulance service for a couple of years now. And had hundreds of jobs in Rhyl, unfortunately the mental health service in this country (Wales) is broke completely. as well as many other services. It's soul destroying for my self constantly pushing for the best possible outcome for people like Nick. It wrecks my heart as I'm not able to do anything at all. It's your elected politicians that have caused this utter mess. I can only imagine what the next few years will be like here. If I had the possibility of moving to another country I would have gone a year ago. I will do my best as long as I'm here to help people in the North Wales area for as long as I can but it's not looking hopeful unfortunately. Glad I could make a diffeerence either way
@@AdikiaMedia Thank you. But it's just a shame people in this country are being messed over on a daily basis. That's all I care about. I hate it. No one is perfect on this planet.
I was recently evicted and was facing being homeless and had I not had a desktop computer there is absolutely no way I could have filled in the forms for the council and got all of the documents they needed to apply for a flat so I really feel for these homeless people. If all you had was a mobile phone there is no way on earth you would be able to apply to the council for a flat and if you have a pet you simply won't get one. I was so lucky that an housing organisation saw what I was facing and stepped ijn to get me a temporary flat and had my pet not been an emotional support animal I wouldn't have got one and if you have a cat or a dog you have no chance. The best advice I can give anyone facing being homeless is to apply to the council the second you find out you need to leave your home because even after a year on the waiting list I am still nowhere nearer to getting a long term flat and again had my legs and lungs not packed in like they did when the weather got bad last year I wouldn't have got the flat that I got. I wish everyone the very best and truly hope we as a whole in the UK can finally do something about our own homeless and stop allocating all of the available flats to people who come to this country to take advantage of the messed up system.
I was brought up in the slums of Rochdale in the 1950s, it was dire, but at least we had a roof over our heads. It's disgusting how the homeless are treated in this country.

It took me alot of courage to actually watch myself on here. Things have changed since i was in Rhyl. I ended up on the streets for a while in Chester. Now ive finally got into a hotel near Ellesmere Port. Im off the Heroin and on a substitute. Im only drinking enough to keep the shakes and seizures away. All i want out of life right now is a Flat of my own and my dog back by my side and that will make me happy. Things are slowly moving in the right direction. Thank you for sharing my story/journey Adikia Media
Nice too see the police trying to help this man ,not being from the area should not be a reason not to help this man when we have foreigners turning up on our shores getting put in hotels and getting all the help going whilst homeless individuals from Britain get very little
There has to be a treatment centre that would take him in an help him heal up n work things out for him if he's willing to do whatever it takes!!!! Living like that's not on. Hopelessness is fu*kn horrendous!!!
I live by where it happening the tents are around corner from me and I spoke to many of them and none them should not be living like this put them in a hotel not people on boats in hotels
I bet there's ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS nice and warm not hungry but still dissatisfied within ten minutes from wherever they are. It's time the fit and able took this country back sharpish I bet the military would help us before squishy roof rack
You area dreaming if you think there is any unfair bias to immigrants in this country. I'm an migrant, I went to to a school that ranks 2931 out of 3200 high schools in England. I was bullied by racist kids till this which gave me mental trauma till this day. I haven't been able to get over it. Now I'm a successful engineer. The kids that bullied me are mostly in jail, doing drugs/ benefits or dead. Always do homeless feeds and look out for all my fellow humans beings. All the homeless in my city know me. But some people are still racist to till this day. Mate you have to understand something, historically speaking, the UK has done wayyyyyyyyy too much harm to the world than I can possibly even write down in a single comment. You have to stop blaming migrants and man up and work hard. You can't be ma day Africans when you LITERALLY took them as slaves just over 100 years ago. You cant be mad at Indians when you literally stole and rinsed them of soooooo many goods that you couldn't possibly pay your debt. One side of me wants to say man up and work hard. And the other side of me (due to how I was treated) wants to say just stay bitter about it and see how far you get in life
I'm sorry this man has been homeless for 10 years it would be better if he could pair up with another guy that he could trust and they went about together but unfortunately if somebody decides to take drugs and mix that with alcohol it's very difficult..,
I live in rhyl is he still there or has he been moved on cuz iv seen him there a few times now iv watched this i might go and sit with him for a bit and see if hes allright
My story is amazing I was homeless for a bit I living in a bungalow now I have plenty of money in the bank you have to fight MPs councils I can't sometimes believe it big bungalow and garden
yes get a boat .. make sure you have new trainers on and a new mobile at hand ... you must not look you have travelled thousand of miles !!!! study migrant pictures ...
I would be in prison every winter because I would go into a empty house and get locked up for living there and wouldn't put up with all this shit like he does. Government not bothered about homeless so I wouldn't be by breaking into empty house.
What it is right me ma did this me dad did that I just want someone to feel sorry for me I won't bother getting a job cos it's only £10 an hour I know it's more than what I get now but I just can't be arsed.
So if you’re a uk citizen and move to a different area you won’t get help for housing because you’re from out of the area but come on a dinghy from godknowsastan and you’re put up in 4 star hotels, free food, free cash, makes my blood boil at the state of this country and how it treats the natives.
Lifestyle choice. If these people had anything about them, they would do literally anything to earn a living because jobs are there. They are just lazy no goods.
Queue up with the immigrants you'll be looked after 3 meals day 4 star hotel free dental treatment , front of the queue NHS all benefits included can't go wrong
I know many Muhammeds from the Middle East, Saudi, Dubai …. and they are definitely millionaires. Let’s stop this stupid stereotype shit as you might meet one of them one day and they will show you how much they really worth lol
Disgrace he's not from the county, So he can't get housed😮Yet we have illegals not even from the country, getting accommodation food bikes clothes IPhone's and even pocket money, Even though they were purposely given those bikes so they can work illegally cash in hand. (Uber eats/ Deliveroo/Just eat/barber shops/Amazon/Nail bars/takeaways Restaurants etc. Does any of those spring to mind.
Yo change your title your unintentionally going to give someone an idea of doing a crime in order to carry on living…or do you mean to mislead those who aren’t doing so well?
Small family but he doesn't remember them? A little ironic. He drinks and takes drugs because he doesn't care. He's a breed of pyschopath who has let too much go. Or a toxic narcissist who can't help causing a nuisence. People who drink heavily and take class A drugs tend to be a big nuisence.
