'Id rather be terrible with woman than terrible to them' I'm going to teach my son this line as he grows! encouraging to realise there is still decent guys out there x
now that enough time has passed since i wrote it i can confirm that I was actually ripping off 'The Irony Of It All' by the Streets although it is similar to bo burnham's thing too
Exceptional entertainer, Rhys James. I have only known about him for a day. But now I watch these vids again and again. I never thought a guy this young could be so brilliant, original and INTERESTING!
"I'm a Grammar Tory. I only correct sentences when there's a direct benefit for me." I don't understand that line, Rhys. Can someone explain? I like all the rest - it's brilliant.
Considering the poem could be perceived as virtue-signalling, and simply joining in the masses decrying unpopular behaviour, you turned it around at the end elegantly. Well done, and thank you for the entertainment.
Rhys James Completely correct. Of course. We can't be great at everything, so my shortcomings make me morons in some situations. My attempt was at complementation, I apologise if I wasn't clear. That'll be another moronic situation of mine... I do also appreciate the meta-irony in a similar style to Ricky Gervais' character of David Brent.
I liked the bit, but a lot of the comments are a tad "I liked this and I'm very clever, so this must be very clever comedy. I bet I'm more clever than most of the people in the crowd, so they're not getting it like me. Too bad people on the internet aren't as clever as I am, but at least for me there is this incredibly niche and obscure comedian who's on BBC all the time".
To be fair I had not been on a mainstream bbc show at the time and I would never perform something like this on one. But yes all youtube comments are awful. All of them.
