Mikko, thanks for your channel. It has become my daily bread.

A real eye-opener for me and a lesson I should have learned years ago. It is the path from key center playing to something that sounds jazz, adding just the right amount of tension-release, even when changes are fast. Thanks!

This is the best rhythm changes lesson on the web. Period. Well done! Like you said, for years I've been locked into trying to pivot from one chord to the next (nailing the 3rd on G7). Your lesson and ideas finally freed me to try other ideas. Thank you so much!!!

Great lesson, Mikko! I love using tritone sub ideas and have been comfortable thinking Rhythmning and We'll You Needn't over the same changes. So I-7, V-7 can easily become I-7, IIb-7. That gives you so many possibilities.

Uskomattoman järkeen käypää. En juuri ymmärrä teoriaa mutta kuulen missä mennään. Hyvällä maulla ja maltilla soitat., Sun melodia päät on nii makeita. Tarpeeksi blues fraasausta mun mieleen. Kiitos tuhannesti.

I love your treatment of Slonimskji, very direct and in business way. I love Joe Hubbard, he knows a lot of stuff, but talks too much--which at least for me is found distracting from what he points pout to be played on the fret board. I can do easily anything here done, I just need to learn the notes and where they are and when they are supposed to be there! I play 5-string bass. Fantastic job bro!!

Mikko, this is such an amazing lesson on rhythm changes! Watched it a lot lately, when you talk of doing one bar of Bb and one bar of c-7b5 have you tried doing one bar of Bb major then one bar of Eb-7b5 for more of an altered sound? would be the Eb-7b5 would create an F7#5#9 sound I guess, great work!

Spontanuous chain of dominants playing, and improvising as a band is called "the Cycle"actually I didn't know it was also in rythm change...but of course... what about Db7 down to F7? (nice and easy, trying to go up with the soloing of course

A cycle from Db to F? Never tried it..could work 🤠

Very inspiring. And you're right of course, slavishly spelling out every chord all the time sounds boring quick

Way, way too fast. And do you really think viewers can see what's on those book pages you're flipping? Not that good.
@Mikkokosmos
@Mikkokosmos 5 лет назад
Obviously I don't think that you can see. That's the point. That would be a violation of copyright. I'm giving you a taste so that you get an idea of how much in the book so that you can buy it if you find it interesting. I didn't think it would be necessary to explain that. I thought that would be obvious. /Mikko
