I saw these guys so many times when I was in college in Kalamazoo. They put on a great show. The Future's Not What It Used To Be is an amazing album. Seriously, one of the best albums of the 90s.
you would never know til youre in your 30's in ussa and then poof an entirely new youtube world opens a decade of shit youd rather hear, like it or not, but rather hear three times a week at work... instead of stuff you grew up with and annoys to the grave
F'n love this band. Both their albums are awesome from start to end. I was lucky enough to accidentally come into contact with singer Michael Persh. He was with E! Channel's head of music licensing around 2007 and I was working on a TV show for them. I called him up and let him know that people still love Rhythm Corps. Not 'did love'....still love his music. I asked him one question: "Was there any more than 2 albums? " He said 'Nope. Just the two". He asked my favorite song and I said "Hell Has No Heroes", but let him know all are great. Got more joy out of talking to him than meeting Ozzy or Paul McCartney...but that's just me.
In '93, one of our friends was in the hospital with a closed head injury. We were all big fans and asked the band to sign some stuff for him even though he was comatose. They were very gracious and 6 months later at another show, our friend was back to normal and at the show. Greg Apro remembered us and approached us to ask how he was. Our friend was ecstatic. They are a class act!
One of the greatest bands ever!!! I've followed them since the inception of the band back in the early 80's. Everyone that's is a fan says emphatically that they were ahead of their time. The lyrics seem to apply in today's world more than ever before.
I remember Greg Arpahamian and Rich Lovsin from high school. Saw Rich a lot in the smoking area. Nice guy. Glad they got a hit in Common Ground, but I always liked this one better.
Such a great song, and this is the first time I ever saw the video. One of the last hurrahs of the post-'80s, before rock started to degrade in the '90s (don't get me wrong, there are still a lot of great songs throughout the '90s and even after, but nothing could match the sounds of the '80s).
You've posted the same question, about whether or not they made a lot of money, in 3 separate threads. Why are you so interested in how much money they made? What business is it of yours, and why do you care?
@Ken5244 Perhaps because that is why people do things - to make a living. If money is not important to you, join a monastery and spare us of your self-righteousness.
