Ribbon Dance: A Night Around the World

The chinese ribbon dance routine I choreographed and performed at MWU-Glendale's 2009 "A Night Around the World." Not the cleanest run, but it was a fun and decent performance considering the whole thing was put together in ~2 months! The ~54 ft ribbon was homemade, I used habotai silk and fabric dye to get the colors. Music was "The Great Valley" by 12 Girls Band (大峽谷-女子十二樂坊).

this was AMAZING! when i do it the ribbons always get twisted, tangled, or knotted and the color of the ribbons were beautiful

Beautiful job. I really liked this. The performance was wonderful. The performer looks good. Keep your narrow-minded viewpoints on peoples weight to yourself. No one cares about your body preferences. She is not fat. This is inspirational and I am learning this.

Thanks for posting this video - your routine is quite lovely! I love the music you picked and those ribbons you dyed are very beautiful - and also an inspiration to try making my own and not spend soo much time trying to find them online, lol.

@LionessInAComa Actually this is a lot harder than you think. The ribbons are long, so they're harder to control. And just dancing and waving it isn't the case, you have to match the movements and the music.Also notice that in the beginning her feet got a little tangled because of the ribbon length. It can happen to anyone.

people think its easy but it is cause they never tried it. its pretty hard. u have to control the ribbon and thats pretty hard espesially if its that long. it might not be hard or professionals but this is for people that think this is easy and have never tried it before

I don't think "FAT" is a problem.From my point of view,she really did a good job!The important thing is she has a confident doing her performance.I bet you can not complete that such a long ribbon dance for five minutes.

@cheetah192119 I think the ribbons are a one piece ribbon, stuck in the tshirt or on a belt, and on the shoulders with bands or else..

@LionessInAComa i have tried dancin wt ribbbons,, u can manage in a day but u'll nvr get tht flow n continuity.. gets tangled very easily.. its not as easy as u see.. tht too for 5.18 mins

las telas muy bien, pero su cuerpo le falta expresión da la idea de que lo hizo a fuerza o sin ganas su cuerpo muy rígido, sin movimiento. Creo que le faltó más soltura y fluidez a su cuerpo.
