This is a simple design. Start with a meander, then go back over the meander to create a ribbon design. I'm using a non-computerized Gammill Longarm machine. It has a 26 inch throat and I can quilt about 22 inches of depth per row of quilting. I'm also using constant mode instead of regulated. Omni thread by Superior Threads , white. Warm and White batting.

Loved the evenly spaced meander but the magic happened when you went back to turn the meander into a flowing ribbon.

What a wonderful way to dress up a meander. I rarely meander because it’s a boring design-both to look at and to stitch, IMO. But, I’m going to have to change that idea. This looks really nice. Thank you!

I have often wondered (since I got my longarm about 3 months ago) how everyone kept the foot and the thread path clean. I have seen videos and read the manual, and heard others talk about cleaning their machine, but no one ever mentioned the foot and thread path. Thanks for showing that.

So inspirational and mesmerizing. I love the fact that this is virtually raw footage. Thank you for letting us see not only the beautiful quilting but also how you choose to tie off after the bobbin runs out and how you use a Q-tip for cleaning the foot. Such a V8 moment; I’d been using just my brush, which isn’t as thorough.

Going from right to left I have trouble Quilting straight lines without thread breaking.

A couple reasons... Incase I would need to rip it out, it can make hand sewing the binding harder if it's heavily quilted on the edge, easier and less thread too.
