This song was restored using the original source samples from the Roland SoundCanvas 8850. I used GBAMusRipper for ripping the sequence data, FL Studio for rendering the audio with the original samples, and Audacity for mixing everything together. I've tried to make it sound as close to the original as I can, though there could be some mistakes here or there.

If you want to use this in a video you're free to do so, though credit would be greatly appreciated! However, please don't just re-upload the songs yourself and claim them as your own.
I used the VGM Sound Sources Spreadsheet as a guide for finding which samples were which. If you're interested in this kind of thing, I'd highly recommend checking it out as it has information for hundreds of different games:

Honestly, Ribbon Road in 8 is great and all, but j kina wish we could get a truly faithful recreation of it, both music and visuals.

For Mario circuit the reason why it sounds so different in Mario kart 8 is because they used the Beta version of the song and I’m also pretty sure the reason why ribbon road music is different in mario kart 8 is probably also because of the beta version although there’s only a little bit of footage of the beta ribbon road and due to the lightning power up you can barely hear the music til the very last 5 seconds before the clip ends it sounds kinda like a war March or something like that and it reminds me like that one guitar part from the Mario kart 8 version when the song starts to cooldown

As someone who didn't grow up with Super Circuit, this is easily the best song in the game. I actually like the MK8 version, but I wish it wasn't changed so much since it pales in comparison to how great this is. Oh well, at least the track is good :)

MK8's rendition of GBA Mario Circuit is also pretty weird, as the main melody is almost completely different for the first section of the song. I guess the composer just _really_ didn't like Super Circuit?

Not me considering paying an outrageous price for Super Circuit just to play the original Ribbon Road (my favorite track) and Rainbow Road (as it's the only Rainbow Road I haven't played)

The physical melody is, but with the instruments being completely different, the song might as well be new. There's no fun xylophone or trumpet fanfare that makes Ribbon Road feel fun and toylike.

Fun Fact: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was better at making "New Content" when it first released rather than the Booster Course Pass being a Boo Start Course Trash Even Ribbon Road was a perfect track to prove that the Wii U's Version of the game was better at making DLC and had nothing on Tour

Don’t get me wrong, I really like the 8 version of this song. But when I hear it, I don’t think “kid’s room with gifts and ribbons.” I actually get that feeling with the original.

I never grew up with Super Circuit, earliest was DS Mario Kart 8 was my introduction to this track. 8's music is absolute garbage for the theme of the track, and the track itself feels generic. Super Circuit's Ribbon Road not only looks better visually, but also plays better too, and has a better sounding track too. Great Restoration

Listen closely, Mario kart 8 ribbon road haters. But didn’t the remake not only advance the aesthetics to fit into Mario kart 8 and give more creative option mechanically and thematically along with remaster the music and remove annoying parts of the bass and overlapping of other stuff on the main melody to make a more chill surfing type vibe that felt great to race on the track within its presence and listen to it alone in the music selection? And bring a ton of mechanics and references to the original and either advance and or remake them for a better layout? I seriously don’t understand you if you don’t like the remake, I know opinions be opinions and all, but there’s so less to complain about that it makes it look like you have absolutely nothing to do as you squeeze your “qualms” out.
