To think that Ric has wrestled dudes who weren't even born yet when he did this promo is incredibly mind boggling!

How people age differently these days. Pretty sure Rip Hawk is 44 at this time. That’s younger than John Cena and Brock Lesnar are now. This man looks 64. And Ric is 25!!!!

It was the ‘70s. Politically incorrect language didn’t exist. I remember his promos on Rufus R Jones being much more racist than this.

Racist much, Ric?
@brfisher1123
@brfisher1123 Год назад
While "Mammy" is indeed offensive keep in mind that this was during the 1970s (1974) which was not too long after the Jim Crow era ended plus people found racist and other derogatory terms humorous during that time. Watch some shows from the 1970s such as All in the Family and Sanford & Son and you'll see what I mean.
@pls2028
@pls2028 Год назад
@@brfisher1123 I know what you mean…I watched both shows. Racism was cheap heat…always was, always will be. It doesn’t make it OK…
@brfisher1123
@brfisher1123 Год назад
@@pls2028 I'm not saying that it was OK, I'm just pointing out that society was unfortunately a lot more racist back then than it is now, what's done is done. If Ric was indeed racist in the '70s then let's be glad that this doesn't necessarily reflect on how he is nowadays.
@pls2028
@pls2028 Год назад
@nosoyallowed828 I cope just fine, thank you. People do care, even if you don’t, which pretty obviously you don’t.

@@pls2028 "Racism was cheap heat…always was, always will be. It doesn’t make it OK…" So what do you propose we do about this 50 years later, cancel Archie Bunker? Based on your comments, it wouldn't surprise me if you'd want those 70's shows expunged.
