Absolutely yes. Since this video was released we had the same problem. It turned out that the same loads, or increased by 1 grains can be used to propel the ppu .268 bullets

Surely not, that seems a very rough operation that can have adverse effects on bullet axiality and accuracy

We knew someone who tried the same by squeezing 323 bullets to .327-ish to better fit his French Berthier. Simply a very bad idea

Standard primers. You'd use mag primers only if using 36 grains W760 following Dave Emary's load or with 32 grains Vihta N140 on M91 long rifles with progressive twist rifling

iac4357 i seriously doubt a similar bullet will work. Too short and light to have a reliable Base expansion. In our experience, the only .264 that actually works well in tight Carcanos (mainly 91/41s who generally have tighter bores) is the Lapua Scenar type. Using N140 and keeping low velocities to avoid jumping the rifling.

iac4357 try both. If you live in the States, you might find cheap Hornady round nose .264. I noticed .268 sized bullets are becoming expensive also there. Here they're approaching 1 euro per bullet. Ppu Partizan is making a FMJ spitzer .268 with the same profile of the Italian match bullet

SBAM Shooting- If available in Italy, Prvi Partizan apparently also makes .268 bullets . Also Signore, while I am aware that the Carcano is aimed by placing the Front Sight tip in the BOTTOM of the Rear Sight 'V', I cannot find this in any document. Do you perhaps have a Libro per Fanteria, or Libro per il Carcano that shows this in Italian ?

Craft and sons makes it for around 30ish a box it's good ammo I shoot it once a year at the shooting range but the 6.5 ppu is allot friendly on your wallet at 10 a box

Si legge dappertutto....per bocca di gente che ne sa fino a mezzogiorno. La N140 è sicurissima in tutte le rigature, da 32 a 34 grani con inneschi Magnum, ottima sia con palle Hornady che le nuove PPU vendute ora nella giusta foratura di .268". Le palle originali non le ho mai provate, essendo spesso pulite per abrasione uno non è mai sicuro di quanto ne esce assottigliata la camiciatura. Non mi fido a usarle

Ti assicuro che con le mire del 91, lo scarto di +/- 0.4 grani fatto dal dosatore volumetrico con quella granulometria di polvere è assolutamente irrilevante. Poi cosa cambierebbe dal ricalibrare 3/4 di colletto a .264 col die del 6.5x55 a ricalibrare 3/4 di colletto a .264 col dies del 6.5x52? Ci sono tiratori pluricampioni nel campionato exordinanza che fanno tutti i "30" e i "303" collettando con un die del 300 winmag tagliato al tornio. :)

@@sbamshooting io mi riferivo all utilizzo di dies specifico e di qualità come L attrezzatura …sicuramente bisogna anche vedere cosa si pretende e cosa si vuol fare, di certo per una ricarica dove si pretende precisione si utilizza attrezzatura Redding…rcbs… Hornady… il marchio Lee è da dimenticare perché la ricarica è balistica e nn adeguarsi a cose economiche. Esperienza personale anche persino nei calibri arma corta differenza tra una pro mille di merda e una Dillon …i risultati sono evidenti sia visivamente sia al crono dove si nota un munizionamento a fattore con un irrilevante deviazione standard uguale munizioni performanti e di qualità. Ti assicuro se si conosce la balistica e L accuratezza nel ricaricare, viene naturale usare in attrezzatura che lavora ti spettando le operazioni al millesimo per aver colpi in asse costanti e performanti. Apri un dies inseritore palla Lee e vedi uno spaccato dell Hornady nn c’è paragone

@@grillex87ipscf.i.t.d.s47dipende anche dal campo di utilizzo. Non voglio certo tirarmela ma io uso solo Lee anche per le cartucce che uso in campionato, e quest'anno per ora non sono mai sceso sotto i 146 punti su 150. Anche tra i campionissimi tanti usano lee. Per le ex ordinanza usare roba più blasonata non ha senso, andrei su roba più lussuosa e di precisione solo se dovessi ricaricare per tiro di precisione a lunga distanza con armi moderne.

@@sbamshooting Nn condivido il pensiero perché nn c’è un pesante costo di differenza solo i kit dies micrometrici con boccole costano uno stonfo …poi ognuno usa ciò che più gli piace mio parere io ricarico per ottenere il miglior rendimento sia che il fucile ha 100 anni sia che ne abbia 2..
