Non mi risulta che Farinelli abbia cantato tanto le opere del fratello o che si siano frequentati molto. Il film non dice la verità. Riccardo Broschi non ha scritto delle grandi opere a parte l'Orfeo che ha completato per il resto non ci rimane nulla.
Un film non è necessariamente un fedele racconto biografico. Qui si racconta di un uomo mutilato dei suoi genitali per essere sfruttando commercialmente e delle sofferenze fisiche e psichiche che gliene derivarono. Cercare qui i riscontri documentali ha poco senso perché non è l'obiettivo né degli sceneggiatori né del regista. A mio parere non un grandissimo film, soprattutto ha deluso la scelta di mixare più voci. L'obiettivo di far capire come cantasse un castrato non è stato raggiunto perché non si può raggiungere.
