The full rice harvest in rural Thailand (Isaan) by live-less-ordin... staring with ploughing the fields and sowing the rice seeds during rainy season in July, to the final harvest, and drying and bagging of rice in November at the beginning of winter, and Thailand's dry season. The harvest takes place in the Buriram Province of Isaan and features myself, a part-time expat, as I bumble through the rice cultivation processes. While most are harvested by harvester, occasional smaller plots are still done by hand. There's also lots of beautiful drone shots from above the rice fields and timelapse videos through the seasons of the paddies in between. The bags of rice now sit in our back storage and will be used to eat and to trade for currency throughout the year.
