Does this properly sits on whipped cream cake or does this loose shape after taking from refrigerator.

Lata Gidwani not at all !! It sits perfectly on whipped cream and never looses its shape ! I even add a little water in some areas to insert any additional toppers on it but it doesn’t get soggy ! Ive refrigerate for 3-4 hours after completion as well !! l

lateefat abiola only if it’s a greasy one! Else they will stick to the paper ! Butter paper would be the best !

Hello Baker's Delight! Thank you for this tutorial. However, my sound is not working. Do you just air dry the shapes, or do you bake them in a low overn?

Mariam Peters welcome dear! Yes I usually just leave them under the fan however if you’re in a hurry you can bake them too ... smaller shapes with less folds dries out within an hour !

After it's dry and painted what do you use to put it on a fondant cake and does it desolve quickly after.

Debi Delay you can stick it with some ganache or Choc tempered or put it on the fondant cake when it’s 70% dry but has some slightly wet areas so that you can just apply a lil water n stick

harbikiz5890 roughly around 3-5 hours , depends on the pleating too! Overlapping folds take longer. However if put in front of the AC or under the fan I found them drying much faster.

NABATANZI ESTHER it’s either the cream or chocolate you’re putting it on or if it’s fondant then just wet a little part of the rice paper n stick it ! That acts as the glue

Sangita Dhar ofcoarse you can nothing is compulsory with rice paper because once it’s completely dry it’s not hard to peel off ! I’ve even used a bottle cap ! So use your imagination but make sure you don’t make too many tiny deep folds into any object or whatever you use coz when u try to take it out .. it might break !

D Bakergirl yes it’s just normal rice paper used for rolls ! You can simply type rice paper in amazon search bar and you’ll have them all buy whichever brand u like :)

If using wafer paper use vodka in a spray bottle to soften, it will dissolve in water too easily.

Pooja Sawhney you can use butter paper ! I’ve even done one using my bottle cap 😂 it doesn’t matter too much .. almost any workable surface works .. but please let it dry off completely so that it comes off naturally !

ADITI TAPARIA under the fan or in an AC room about 2-3 hours but depends on the folds ! If there are see folds then they may take upto/about 8-10 hours !

@@sonasamazingkitchen6121 a lot of factors matter . 1 is if you are placing it as a lying down pc! 2 if you are refrigerating it for long ! 3 placing it too early where it gets a lot of time to grab the moisture from the whipped cream

No one really eats the rice paper decorations But why is called edible is because it can be eaten after cooking and if you have it raw also it won’t harm you in any way!

Oh god please don’t put them in the fridge They should be fan dried and kept normally outside or in containers and then use on cake when needed

No after putting on cake you can refrigerate but the cake in the box and seal it ! Or if the cake can be kept out then keep out else only option is best to put before delivery!

Yes when we say edible ... it implies that it is good safe and of eaten would not harm you! However no one would like eating it just like that 😜 it’s mainly a garnish!

Wafer paper is very very useful Don’t get rid of them ! Use them for decoratively covering cakes ... make flowers etc

Win A you need to let the buttercream or whipped cream set and then stick them on .. put slight pressure n press them in They should be just fine !! Mine stuck pretty well on whipped cream !

Baker's Delight I did that honestly it wasn’t working out for me, wish I could show you my cake. It was beautiful, the only problem was that the sails did not stick so until I’m able to resolve this I wouldn’t feel confident offering it. The cake was cold from the fridge and tried to adhere the sails but it wasn’t happening. Thank you for your response x

Win A you should have tried with some white chocolate !! But these sails don’t need any adhesive .. they naturally stick !!
