I've gotta go with October and November...Hockey, Football, Baseball, oh baby! All-Star Games don't elevate a month.

August is great for tennis as it's the North American hardcourt season that leads to the US open. And the Tour de France happens in July.

July and August is Summer Olympics.

Love April, which includes the 'elite eight' for championess league (EU) soccer, but then add to that, May, the conclusion of EU (and most of the world) soccer leagues, and various cups. April/May...with spring in the air in the USA, is the sports world I love the most! Winter/holiday football is a close second!

Should be an * for Olympic years when July/August is full day sports for weeks.

April at 2 may be a bit high but it def is the most underrated month. Most variety. And while no football is played draft is sick. And Augusta!!!

September was the big month when I was a kid during the Eisenhower administration. On the down side, school started. But on the up side, the new cars came out, the TV season started, college football started, NFL started, and there was the World Series. That was the world in order to me. Then everything changed. No wonder we now live in chaotic times.

Rich's trips to Germany and London really haven't paid off.

April is way too high. No football played in april makes it under september, october, november, december, january and february automaticaly. Can't be higher than 7th.

March and April are insanely overrated on this list. I'm not saying shouldnt be on the list but neither should be top 5. The bottom 1/3 of NFL games are better than 3/5 basketball games.
