Sure but you could give him one more bass runner. The first sign of trouble you take him out. Even a really long at bat you could take him out but to not give him a chance to go out there. Just take him out if there's a base runner and keep them in if there's not. You know he can handle more than a hundred pitches he's done it many many times in college.n

@@PGO_Gaming The only way to really prove that scientifically beyond a shadow of a doubt is to let more guys pitch complete games, collect data on their torn and ruined arms so we can say "well, we were right, it IS worse if we don't pull them". Irresponsible. Here is what we know: pitch velocity has gone up, and TJ surgeries have gone up in those same years. Do you have another explanation? Because the paid, professional kinesiologists don't. All they can surmise is that this increased velocity, which clearly DOES put more strain on the arm (that's how mechanics works) is to blame.

Too many injuries so far for pitchers this season already, and I don't see the point of a no hitter game. Yes, if this is a world series, one should not pull him out at that point, because it is still 1 run game (not because of no hitter). But, for a game in July?!? come on!

They did the same thing with Robbie Ray. How did that work out for him? When did his injury occur? How did pitch counts work out for Matt Brash? If pitch counts really worked to prevent arm injuries, then relief pitchers would basically never get injured. Pitch count has nothing to do with it. One in seven major league pitchers have had TJ surgery at some point in their careers - and that was back in 2012. The number is surely higher now. That's despite the fact pitchers are throwing LESS pitches now than ever. Ask Nolan Ryan how many pitches he threw. Just six starts and this rookie is already the NL starter for the all star game. Definitely wrong. Chris Sale 12-3 136k 2.70 era. Sale got snubbed

1) Sale is starting Sunday for the Braves, so he was never an option to start the all-star game. 2) Skenes has 11 starts and is 6-0, he doesn't have just six starts. The more you know....

Paul Skenes is not good for baseball. We need more action on the bases. More hits not strike outs.

Name me a pitcher who got injured by being kept in for a no-hitter. It's overuse across a season that causes injuries, not one game. Here are the unofficial rules for load managing players. You keep the pitcher in if he's throwing a no-hitter and you keep using your starters in the NFL as long as your team is undefeated.
