I disagree, its a functional average O line , Tippman, AVT, and Becton graded really well in protection, Tomlinson is Trash. Def gonna need a tackle with that first round pick. ⁠@@bricksandconcrete They most definitely don’t have the worst O line. Like literally statistically speaking they’re 25th so far. The offensive line relies on the QB just as much as the QB relies on them. If the QB is holding the ball for a long time or generally sucks that makes the linemen have to work significantly harder. They knew their O line wasn’t amazing, they brought in Rodgers for that reason. His quick release and tempo was supposed to offset the bad o line play. Wilson couldn’t dream of doing that lol

Absolutely, after the Jets Vs Jags game last year I couldn't believe they wanted to even keep Wilson on the roster. Dude got benched for a guy on the practice squad that night and the practice squad guy looked soooo much better.

If there was ever a player to put behind Rodgers, it was White. White was not as ready as Purdy was for the 49ers but the potential was there.

@@abc_12333 Pretty sure the HC and GM need to be pretty damn competent that even though they whiffed on a 1st round QB they still have one of if not the best team in the NFL. As a GM you don't just luck into having an amazing roster top to bottom. Basically every GM who has ever existed has whiffed hard on a draft pick. But 49ers and Jets are completely different and the Jets GM figured it would be a great idea to have a 39yr old QB playing behind a terrible O-Line and that the rest of the teams talent would somehow make that all okay or that they shouldn't go out and sign a competent backup like IDK maybe keep Mike White or go sign Bridgewater, Zappe, Brissett or McCoy all guys they easily could have gotten especially Zappe and McCoy who were both cut. Ask anyone who knows anything about Football and they will know having a bad O-Line is gonna greatly affect any NFL team regardless of how good the talent is everywhere else.

He wasn't supposed to be on the team!! The only reason he's still on the roster is because of stubbornness & not wanting to admit a mistake by drafting him.

@@wisewolftony Any GM and HC that rejected Brady (whose first choice was the 49ers) TWICE and didn't consider Mahomes are NOT competent. With the roster they had, the 49ers should've had 2 or 3 more Superbowl rings. Even without Mahomes or Brady, Kyle's horrific play-calling blew 4th quarter leads - reminiscent of Superbowl 51. As for QBs for the Jets, why haven't you mentioned Cooper Rush, Taylor Heinicke or Tyler Huntley? Those 3 are better than Zappe, Brissett and Bridgewater.

Mike White would get hurt a 3rd time with us- it’s just destiny at this point. Having said that, White will throw 3 TDs per game on any other team this year and will never be hurt again 🙄

I agree with you. I like to see the Jets try to utilize Zach's and the receiver's strengths by taking shots downfield rather than signing Wentz or waiting for the Vikings to lose more games. By taking shots downfield, the passing windows will widen and it will leave for room for the checkdowns. It will also keep the safeties to open more room for the running game. You're right. The Jets don't have anything to lose.

Im so tired of the team...if it wasnt for my teenage son, i wouldn't watch any of there games or buy any gear. The only thing in my life that I have continued with losing at is this team.

It seems Saleh is chained to a mountain in QB hell. Once with the 49ers and now with the Jets. It must be really frustrating. I still don’t know how he motivates his defense. Because no human being can watch the excruciating painful experience that is Wilson playing QB and the Jets offense.

He was never well liked among teammates and, having watched him many times in person, he constantly played hero ball way too much. He's so used to being the best player on the field that he doesn't need others, now he's in a position where he is clearly not the best but won't admit he needs help

He and his coaches were the ones who "fell in love" with Zach Wilson and forced the GM to draft him, so they need to go with him. The head coach can only choose between the guys in the building -- Wilson or Boyle. It's Joe Douglas' job to get a competent QB. Wentz, Foles, Ryan don't cost any draft capital. Jets don't have time to wait until the Vikings are 1-5; they need a QB right now.

The issue with tanking is I'm not sure they could draft Caleb because part of the reason Rogers left Greenbay was he was unhappy they drafted Love. Rogers took less with the agreement they would use the money for weapons around him not a competent backup qb that's why they only have Zach and Boyle. They also down graded the wr position so Rodgers would have his old buddies Cobb and Lazard, and Hackett. So their hands are tied.

@@jackfeldman8684 not with mac jones. mac jones has struggled as soon as they get into the opponents red zone. the patriots have the highest if not one of the highest in getting into the red zone and have the lowest conversion rate at like 36 percent when they get into the red zone.

This is the only path for the Jets. Trying to trade for Kirk or some other guy would be foolish. Desperation is never a good place to be making trades from.

you already gave up on the season? (not judging you... there are times when this team makes me feel that way almost every other game). I'm going to try to give it until week 9 (8 games into the season) to see if the jets can turn it around, if not i might agree with you... I hope the jets can play some meaningful games in December but as the days past that seems like a crazy pipe dream.

@@juicesnap I'm not a Jets fan, but come on be realistic. It would be a miracle for Zach to get to the playoffs and there's no way he's winning a playoff game. Even if the Jets bring in someone else's back up or a free agent no one wanted this season, what's that really get you? 7-10 season? Great now they gotta trade up to find Zach's replacement. In the NFL you either want to be a 11-13 win team or a 3 win team if your QB is near retirement. One means you're a Superbowl contender the other means you can secure your future because Zach ain't it. Being a middle of the road team does nothing good for the Jets this year.

Tbf we would have had a much better margin if we made those field goals we missed. Also we have to respect the Jets defense for what it is those dudes fought like hell and did a great job of stopping the run and didn’t let a lot of big plays happen. Im gonna be more critical of the offense if they lay an egg against Dallas.
